@Disney can you make shirts w chemo port access for kids with #cancer? All the ones I’m finding are boring 😢 There are sweet little kiddos old out there who could use a Mickey Mouse or Elsa on their shirt to help them feel better ❤️ #pediatriccancer

@johannabrown There are times we need to not allow assignments to be submitted anymore. There are very few “never do this” or “always do this” practices in teaching. It’s great to have this option.

Today, we drove by CHS. My daughter said, “look mommy, your school!!!” But my last day was Tues. I will ALWAYS have a special place in my heart for CHS staff & Colls kids. And, hey, I do still live in town 😜 Thank you, #collsedu, for the past 7 years 💙💛

@susangbarber I was just telling another mom at my kids dentist appointment today how I strategically scheduled the dentist for end of June for my kids so they can go back week of Christmas for their 6 month check up- when I’m also off. 😂

My non-teacher friends: I’m so jealous of your summer off. Me: yesterday I had a colonoscopy, today I went to the orthopedist, tomorrow I’m having my teeth cleaned.

Teachers: What's the deal with those brown paper towels at school? They barely absorb anything! Clean up becomes more like a spill relocation program. Pop quiz: How many feet of brown paper toweling does it take to clean up one child's spilled water bottle?

She had her baby 1990s. I had the same thing and they fully sedated me immediately as SOON as I said something.

@ElleryKlein @JeromeAdamsMD I’ve seen studies where Black women are more likely to die in childbirth no matter what their socioeconomic status. 😞 Doctors don’t listen to them.

US pregnancy related mortality rate (ie the chance that a woman will die due to pregnancy related causes): 1980s: 7/ 100,000 1990s: 10/ 100,000 2010s: 17/ 100,000 2020: 23/ 100,000 2021: 33/ 100,000 🤯😞

@teachcrap You should reply something like “Let’s meet to discuss in person.” Do not leave the student hanging. Be ready to compassionately explain what the goals of the class were and how you know they were not met. Offer help (if you’re willing) for when the student retakes class.

Finals are Monday and Tuesday. Just got an email begging for mercy. The person has not mastered any standards this semester. Not a single one. I’m not sure how to formulate an email to explain this to them without sounding like a bitch. Should I wait until I see them?
