Teachers are out of their minds. Literally one of the easiest jobs in the world. No one else gets paid to prepare for work.
Also the kids are dumber, fatter, and more unprepared for the world than they have ever been. But yes let’s pay them more?

I was a teacher for 12 years, and I hate this sort of rhetoric. A teacher's day is done by 3 pm. They never work a night or weekend unless they want to. Only 180 work days per year, they're off 1/2 the time. It's paid appropriately, but no teachers want to hear that.

The one edtech app I will endorse is SmartPass to keep track of when students go to the bathroom and how long they take.
Kids miraculously don’t need to go for 15 minutes every class period when they know their parents get a notification!

Ask any teacher, and they will tell you war stories from their classrooms. No longer are teachers talking about inspiring students, creating lifelong learners, etc. They are talking about the student who brought a gun to school. The administration that is working to get them fired. The vaping, drugs, fights going on at school. Education is war. Yes, your kids are suffering through it too.

Are you a parent that makes a big deal out of your child being temporarily denied restroom? Do you encourage them to just walk out?
If so, please pull them out of public school.
The school will be all the better for it, and your child probably isn't learning much anyway.

@ZillennialApple I told my child if they Have to go & are denied ...Go! The "dumb as a box of rocks* teacher can't stop you. And BTW, my child graduated #1 in their class. They were even brighter than their 2nd grade "professional educator"!.
