Yesterday, outgoing Defence Senior Advisor @DSAME_Defence Air Marshal Sampson and his successor Marshal Ed Ahlgren met 🇱🇧 officials and Army Commander G. Aoun to reaffirm our partnership. Together, we’re strengthening @Lebarmyofficial & supporting Lebanon’s stability 🇬🇧💪🇱🇧.

The UK and Iraq are close military partners. This weekend, UK @DSAME_Defence Air Marshal Sampson met Iraqi Army Chief of Staff Gen Yarallah to reaffirm our partnership. Together, we’re strengthening the Iraqi Security Forces, combatting Daesh, and supporting regional security.

🇬🇧Embassy and Defence Section 🇰🇼 were delighted to host a “first”, a dinner for Kuwait Armed Forces alumni of some of 🇬🇧’s most prestigious military academies and colleges as part of the celebrations of 125 years of official diplomatic relations. Over 600 Kuwaiti officers have attended these world leading academies and colleges, the first in 1952, many winning prestigious awards and accolades. UK Defence Senior Adviser for the Middle East Air Marshal Martin “Sammy” Sampson visited the KRI to discuss Peshmerga reform and the regional political and security situation.
