🏀Happy Black History Month🏀 Day 20: Today, we honor and celebrate a giant in women's basketball. C. Vivian Stringer is a legendary women's basketball coach with an impressive record: 1,055 wins and 42 years of coaching. She began her career at Cheyney State (1972-1983), leading the team to the 1982 Final Four, a historic achievement for an HBCU; the first and only appearance for an HBCU in the women's NCAA Final Four . She later coached at Iowa (1983-1995) and Rutgers (1995-2022), making her the first coach to lead three different programs to the Final Four. Stringer's accolades include Naismith College Coach of the Year (1993), induction into the Basketball Hall of Fame (2009), and over 28 NCAA Tournament appearances. #BlackHistoryMonth #WomenInSports #Trailblazer #CVivianStringer
