Competition kills collaboration. Seen it firsthand. Folks who I called friends years ago become strangers at best, opps at worst. The game has changed from when I first started. Folks don't help others because they fear it'll take away from theirs. The lonely era in media.

🚨 2026 LSU Mag GIVEAWAY! 🚨 🍗 I’m giving out 3 FREE copies TODAY! 📈 ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS RT THIS ARTICLE! NO MORE COLESLAW: LSU Gets Double Toast With Kiffin’s Offense I want to talk about Lane Kiffin’s most dominant stat, one that should guarantee LSU in CFP contention every season. But first, I have a confession…I love Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers. This is not a #sponsored #ad, but that can change. [Todd Graves, let’s link up]. We hung out once for Cinco de Mayo and should run it back. Have “CF” (a former LSU Tiger who is also a marketing genius) call me. Todd, you are awesome. But I do have one major beef with Raising Cane’s. There is only one thing I despise about Louisiana’s favorite fast-food chain—and if you’re a Cane’s fan, you already know what I’m about to say. Todd, let’s keep it 100: even you said you don’t like “it” in an interview. Now the “it” here is coleslaw. And coleslaw perfectly describes LSU’s offense under Brian Kelly over the last couple of seasons. The problem isn’t the slaw itself. I don’t mind mayo lettuce carrot slop in moderation, but I do not want it in fast food. And there is an even bigger problem at hand. I hate that it is guaranteed in every Box or Caniac. And I hate even more that I have to sub it out for extra fries, toast or delicious sauce. The default should be different. Every LSU offense should be Top 5 in the SEC. Brian Kelly’s offense was bland, unimaginable midness. It’s a OneRepublic album mixed with every season of Friends. Yuck. And there are few coaches who can match the Yards Per Play numbers produced by Lane Kiffin. It may not seem like it, but this was one of the most extraordinary runs in college football history. The Rebs have been over 6.2 YPP in six straight years. Every National Championship Game participant since 2017 has averaged 6.2 yards per play or more, except for one. 2025 Miami narrowly missed the mark at 6.10. Translation: Ole Miss produced offenses that consistently matched the efficiency profile of championship contenders. The Landsharks have done so with three different quarterbacks and a revolving door of skill position players. But it doesn’t stop there. Since 2020, every College Football Playoff semifinalist has averaged at least 6.2 yards per play, with 2025 Miami as the lone exception despite still fielding a highly talented offense. @Insidelsubsbl I would love for you to do a ranking of the best LSU power hitters of all time. I would guess Bear is Top 5?

Lane Kiffin is BUCKING a recent CFB trend. LSU's new head coach has always LOVED going FAST! 2020 - 81.6 plays per game (4th) 2021 - 80.5 (4th) 2022 - 78.8 (5th) 2023 - 73.5 (26th) 2024 - 73.2 (20th) 2025 - 77.3 (4th) Ole Miss always COMFORTABLY averaged over 70 plays per game. However, we've seen the rest of college football have a DRASTIC downturn in plays. Why do you think this is?

🚨 Logan Schmidt Update I had a chance to speak with a source close to Schmidt. My biggest takeaway: LSU remains a very serious option. The assumption that he’s headed to JUCO appears premature.
