🚨🚨PSA🚨🚨 Reintroducing Fish’s Vintage Card Deals! Fish’s Vintage Card Deals is a website that I have been working on diligently for over 6 months now and am excited to reintroduce to you guys! There are two components to this site: the Deal Finder, and the Comp Finder Deal Finder: The deal finder is designed to help users make/save money when searching for vintage cards on eBay by only showing active listings that are potentially underpriced in relation to recent sales averages of the same card in the same grade. Only active listings that are listed below the average sales price are filtered through as potential purchases. This makes the eBay buying experience MUCH more enjoyable. Comp Finder: This tool is very similar to the other comp sites you can use (for a fee). I have partnered with a company to help gather and calculate recent average sales prices of a particular card by averaging all of the sales in the most recent 90 day period of a particular card in a particular grade. The current data isn’t quite as accurate as the larger companies, but we are working to improve this as time goes on a we capture more sales. My goal with the site is to make it accessible to ALL in the vintage community and my plan is to keep the site 100% FREE to use going forward. However, because of the upkeep costs involved in keeping the site running, in order for the site to remain free the user base must continuously grow and utilize the deal finder to purchase cards through eBay for collections or resell. I truly created this site with collectors and dealers in the vintage space in mind and want this to be a great resource for all of you. What are your thoughts on utilizing monthly paying derivative income ETFs to increase the yield of a portfolio like that for someone living off the interest a portfolio generates? A 4% withdrawal rate on a $3.5M portfolio is $140k annually, but you could potentially create a portfolio of derivative income ETFs and HY bonds to increase the yield to 7-9% annually, which would drastically increase the amount of annual interest received. Would love to hear your thoughts!

@CardsCtb @sgcgrading Took me about 3 months on my most recent submission as well. The service has gone down tremendously from a year prior. It’s quite sad. I still love the look of an SGC slab, but the service is becoming more and more like PSA since the purchase.

Curious to gauge you guys’ interest in comic books? I have a local friend who is big in the business and has a ton of books for sale and is always buying. Do any of you guys collect comic books or have any for sale? I have very little knowledge on the books, but have noticed a lot of folks who collected vintage cards also collect vintage comics.

@atlanta_cards I understand where you’re coming from and I have been in similar situations many times. To each their own! There are two sides to every coin! There’s nothing wrong with your approach or thoughts. They just differ from mine and that’s ok!

Once again, communication is key, if he needs more time or if something came up he needs to tell me that and not just say "Sending in 1 hr" and then never send it, which he has now done multiple times, I am understanding that things can come up but it needs to be communicated to me. Wayyy too many people back out of deals for me to wait extended periods of time with no form of communication regarding why more time is needed

I agreed to a deal with someone Sat. Night. They said "I reached my Zelle limit, can I send in the morning". I said that was fine. I followed up 2 times yesterday, The first time they said "Sorry getting ready for Seahawks game will send in 1 Hr". The 2nd time they didn't respond at all. Followed up again this morning, and they responded and said "I apologize, will get it sent over". It has been over 1 hr since they sent the last message with still no payment... How much longer would you wait?

Just give them an ultimatum. Say “hey if you don’t pay before the end of the day Tuesday, I’m selling the card to someone else”. People live lives and things can come up. Especially in the middle of one of the worst ice storms in 20 years. I just tend to give people the benefit of the doubt. I’ve been burned a few times sure, but I don’t want an unhappy customer because of me being too pushy for payments.

@DaCardShop Communication is 100% paramount in this situation. I'm not going to wait an unknown amount of time for someone who has been stringing me along, If they were transparent and communicated with me what they needed and how long they needed then that is 100% different.
