@LeafsPassion85 It’s unbelievable. First season in 10 years they don’t make the playoffs and he has a tantrum, demanding to play with better players. As the captain he should be leading by example, not blaming others for their lack of success.

Not gonna lie, I was all about grabbing Mckenna and retooling the team around Auston. But if he has to “figure out” if he still wants to be here, then his heart isn’t in it I’d make the decision for him, I’d tell him to provide me with a list of teams ASAP and prepare to move on

To get serious for a second, I think you have to just draft McKenna for his high ceiling, even though Stenberg has some qualities this team desperately needs, and from my understanding all the d-men are one level below those two unfortunately. If you take Stenberg and McKenna ends up a true superstar, you're going to look very dumb. Don't galaxy brain this.

If the #LeafsForever had a wise GM, he would see that this pick is a great starting-off point for a rebuild. Trading Matthews and Nylander while they’re still under 30 should net you a lot of the building blocks for a quick and successful turnaround.
