Fiverr made me quit video editing I started this whole video editing journey back in November, but I actually start way earlier back in September of 2023. I made a Fiverr gig selling editing, and I didn't get my first client till two months later It was a 10 min video for $25. I edited it, and he liked it. From there I started getting some traction, but I fucking hated editing videos for hours for such little pay. So in my head I thought that there's no money in video editing, so I quit and moved on to a different business model. Biggest fucking mistake of my life The money inside of video editing is INSANE, but most people don't realize it because of their limited beliefs. I thought my videos were only worth $25, not knowing I could've charged atleast $200 for what I was editing. My boys, realize your potential & realize the income you can make with video editing. It is fucking crazy, it's just you have some limited beliefs you need to get rid of 🫡

These past 4 days I haven’t gotten much work done Probably because 1. I been eating garbage, but 2. I been overthinking & overwhelming myself with getting as much outreach & trial edits done. What would you do if you were in my situation?

I was roasted in this skool community I posted my work for one of my clients in this free editing skool community. I just wanted some feedback. 90% of the people in there told me my editing looks shit. It's too simple, and you need to be using motion graphics every 20 seconds as a general rule. You know what's crazy? My client was satisfied with the video. His audience were satisfied with the video. So who gives a shit? And funny enough I was paid a lot for it, while the people criticizing me make $5 videos on fiverr with Iman gadzhi edits Simple editing really is king

99% of people never make a sale from their digital product... not because the product is bad but because nobody understands why they should buy it. This is how you fix that 👇

@Dannyedits84 that's absolutely right, most people think just having fancy motion graphics is called editing, but the real ones edit for the target audience in order to keep them hooked, every frame must feel intentional

That's a common problem of editors I coach, they need a system to work in. You can't manage everything, your brain will just explode. Start small, do it everyday and things once you're comfortable. You're on step 2, don't let any other info from step 4,5,6,10 come in, that's the biggest mistake. Focus is key to success. You do 1 thing at the time, if you spread your attention you don't get anything done. Create priorities, 1. What feeds you now. 2. What will get you results in future 3. Time for yourself. Third one is being neglected by most editors

@SvenKessels_ I agree, that’s how I been able to charge more just by valuing my work more. Only issue I’m having is finding the right people I can actually help improve their videos with in outreach

Not bad at editing. Not unskilled. Not lazy. Just convinced your work isn’t worth what the top guys charge. That one belief is what’s keeping you at the income you are at now. I’ve coached editors with sharper instincts than most pros charging triple. But the moment a client asks for a rate, their hand shakes. They undercut. They say: “let me know what works for you.” That’s not pricing. That’s flinching. Clients can feel it. Confident editors get paid like confident editors. Uncertain editors get haggled, ghosted, and underpaid. Most editors don’t get stuck because they’re bad. They get stuck because nobody ever told them their work was allowed to be worth more. If that’s you, this is your reminder. I believe you can do this. DM me 5K if you want help getting there.

@Dannyedits84 @YacineMedia Prank gone wrong cuz X deleted the laughing emoji at second comment. I agree with everyone, but I posted something controversial for engagement. Didn't think anyone would take it seriously

why the editing in my videos so simple? Because I'm not editing for other editors. Business owners doesn't care about flashy editing. If a simple cut keeps viewers watching and helps close clients, that's better than 100 effects. do u agree with me ?

What you’re saying is true though.. and it’s not lazy. Two of my clients only require simple editing & I make a lot of money with them And even if you look at a lot of reference videos on YouTube in business or finance, their edits aren’t even that flashy.. most don’t even use UI animations Editors focus more on the editing instead of the marketing & sales that comes with it

@Dannyedits84 bcs these are editors how want flashy edit and UI animation and ... isn't thinking like biz owner how want result. they want to work as a job "editing" not like a biz and most of them still on 1k or 2k at max working +12h

If you don't have an editor, you'll never blow up on YouTube Yeah you can keep editing your videos on your own, but you're wasting so much time instead of hiring an editor to save you time Take this as a sign to finally take action DM me "editor" if you're looking to generate sales with clean editing 📈

Dan was at his limits with his last editor His editor would make the pacing all over the place, included unnecessary motion graphics, and used AI slop for the hook Then he started working with me I asked him some questions, particularly one very important question: "What is your age demographic?" Turned out most people who watched him we're between 30-50 years old And so I made two improvements to the video: 1. I slowed down the pacing of the video. Since his demographic is older & more mature, I didn't want any tight cuts, quick B roll & an effect every second. I wanted the video to breathe more so that the viewer can comprehend what was going on 2. I got rid of the AI slop that was in the hook as well as any unnecessary edits And he loved the end result of the video! And so did his viewers! A bad editor edits a video based on what he thinks will work. I edit based off the wants & needs of the client & more importantly, the audience. DM me "editor" if you're looking for an editor that will generate you more sales with simple yet effective editing 📈
