Simply put…… Because backtests are almost always “fitted”, fail in other markets, carry forward-looking bias, and break when you change chart type or timeframe. Backtests are linear, markets are probabilistic, state-dependent, path-dependent, and adaptive. The repeatable edge isn’t the setup, it’s the conditions behind it and the probability they repeat. Trading is like a multiverse, similar outcomes can come from entirely different causes. Backtests fit to a single path, but markets don’t move that way. Results > Rules (ie: plan, setup)

Can’t traders simply realize their rules didn’t work for that entry and adjust and TP what the market gives? 🤷🏻‍♂️
