Probably the closest we’ll get to JJ Gabriel representing Ireland 😂 But seriously, there is no age minimum on players making their senior international debut - Martin Odegaard was 15 years and 253 days old, Gabriel is 15 years and 187 days old. Obviously it won’t happen but if I was the Irish manager, I would be trying to cap him already and show the belief in him. Talk from inside Carrington is that he is possibly the best academy player they’ve ever had - 20 goals in U18 PL this season is remarkable at his age. Plus, there was very much interest from JJ and his family about coming into the underage squads not so long ago….
