Do average Americans understand just how much GWOT veterans hate Iran? Do average Americans understand that basically every GWOT veteran knows comrades in arms who were killed or maimed by Iran? Do average Americans understand that while GWOT veterans hate the idea of useless, endless wars, that most also support a rapid takedown of the Iranian regime that murdered their friends so long as the fight is led by decisive leaders who will allow us to win? Do average Americans understand any of this?

For everybody who keeps saying we are fighting Israel’s war… Israel is fighting our war and they have been since 1979. In fact, Israel has been the world’s speed bump against Iranian Revolutionary ideology and expansion. The Gulf States know this. They are terrified of Iran’s ideology and have been since the Iranian Revolution. If Israel wasn’t taking the body blows then the Gulf States would be. Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, the founder of the Islamic Republic, in a speech on November 5, 1979, called America "the great Satan, the wounded snake," framing us as the primary ideological and imperial enemy of the revolution—blaming it for supporting the Shah, orchestrating the 1953 coup against Mossadegh, and embodying Western arrogance, capitalism, and moral corruption. Israel is referred to as “Little Satan” because Iran recognizes them as our proxy in the region and thinks Israel is nothing more than a vassal state. If Israel were to disappear tomorrow, Iran would not be appeased. Iran would not use the money they save for healthcare and education. They would turn their proxy forces elsewhere and destabilize the entire Gulf. Luckily, Israel has rogered up to be their punching bag and the world keeps shitting on them for it. There are many reasons to support this war. There are just as many to not support it. If your only argument is that we’re fighting Israel’s war then I encourage you to look deeper into the history of this evil regime.

I am not a naval warfare expert. However, the “experts” that are upset about the American sub sinking an Iranian naval combat ship, are absolute scum of the earth. Especially Americans or supposed allies. This is warfare. Not a boxing match, football game, or some other sporting match. It wasn’t “fair” for Iran to use IED’s. It wasn’t “fair” to use suicide bombers. Especially children. You know what also wasn’t fair? It wasn’t “fair” for our supposed leadership to handicap our ground forces with patently stupid ROE’s. When American lives are on the line I don’t want fair. I want overwhelming force and technological supremacy so that fanatics, fascists, dictators, communists, and anyone else who thinks to harm Americans instead has the images of us killing, destroying, and sinking our enemies burned into their brain.

@RealSamRogers I don’t know. There were a couple of things that were different in Serenity from the tv show. I think we just make it so Serenity wasn’t canon.

They can't bring back Walsh unless he's like a hologram or something without fucking up the canon. I miss him too but don't mess with the recipe.

@LadyDemosthenes The movie was outside of canon. Many things were different. I loved Serenity but hopefully the show starts where the show ended and Serenity was just a nice diversion.

I had NO clue how many killjoys existed in the Firefly fandom. I say “I hope they bring back Wash because the show isn’t the same without Alan Tudyk” and my mentions are SWARMED with “He’s dead.” comments. Y’all, I saw the movie. I wasn’t a big fan of the movie, it was rushed and not great storytelling. I’m hoping they ignore it altogether, personally. Still, the amount of just rude or ridiculous messages (not the polite folks who had real conversations! Y’all are cool), all simply because I’m a fan of Alan Tudyk, just shocking. I gotta say, the Supernatural fandom is a lot nicer in my experience.
