Ok, it's taken most of the week, isn't pretty and I want my Kitchen table back but It Works!! Microsoft BASIC 1.0 loaded in from paper tape 😀 Still got a little work to do as it's only seeing half the RAM but that should be an easy fix.

I gave Dune Prophecy a good go. But Ep 3 has lost me. It's just so BAD. I have no idea what the hell is going on with the timeline. And there are some absolutely shocking performances. I never, ever diss other actors but some of this is really poor. 😬

@capnrob9756 @computermuseum It's an Intel SIM-8 which was their first development system for the 8008 CPU. Dates to around mid 1972.

@Devilish_Design @RoboNuggie Oh yes, well spotted! So it looks like they've used an EXORset, but perhaps created some sort of terminal for it out of a 6847 and an EXORset keyboard. They'd designed the 6847 to be used in cheap terminals for farmers, so I guess this wasn't a big leap ...

I've just been shown this, and I would love to know more ahead of my homage to the Motorola 6847 next weekend at the Retro Computer Festival in Cambridge! It's from the Frank Lloyd Wright 'House of the Future' in Arizona from 1979 ...

@rhayadercompute Not sure about the coloured labels but the small ones at the top are definitely for covering the quartz windows on EPROMs 😉
