@dnstewart67 Arghh, I was thinking of giving this a watch. Might give it a miss for now.
If you're not already watching it and need your sci-fi kick, I can recommend Silo 👍

I took over 450 photos whilst attending Retrofest 24 @computermuseum. I shall post a selection from them over the coming weeks. Massive thanks to @HereBeDragons3 , the museum and their amazing volunteers for making it all happen and to @BreakIntoProg for the chat and taking me...

@capnrob9756 @computermuseum It's an Intel SIM-8 which was their first development system for the 8008 CPU. Dates to around mid 1972.

@KevEdwardsRetro @computermuseum @BreakIntoProg Me too! It's always the highlight of my retro computing year. Look forward to seeing you there!

Looking forward to attending the 'Retro Computer Festival 2024' this weekend at @computermuseum with @BreakIntoProg. 2 days of full-on retro goodness! I've not been to Cambridge since 1986 when Acorn were getting the Archimedes ready for the world!

@HereBeDragons3 @RoboNuggie Maybe used a Micro Chroma 68 board (6808 + 6847) along with an EXORterm keyboard?
Photo is a 68 board and link to the manual... bitsavers.org/components/mot…

English

@Devilish_Design @RoboNuggie Oh yes, well spotted! So it looks like they've used an EXORset, but perhaps created some sort of terminal for it out of a 6847 and an EXORset keyboard. They'd designed the 6847 to be used in cheap terminals for farmers, so I guess this wasn't a big leap ...

@rhayadercompute Not sure about the coloured labels but the small ones at the top are definitely for covering the quartz windows on EPROMs 😉

@mrdoornbos Thanks! Thought I had the film playing when I wrote the BASIC program the other year but I might have pinched the list from a web page.

One week to go! Just setting up some games on one of my exhibits...

The exhibitor list is live - and this year looks to be the best ever! We'll have live PERQ repairs, Soviet Calculators, a MacPlus clone, Core Wars, Acorn Systems 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 and a whole bunch of Youtubers ... and there's still more to be added. computinghistory.org.uk/det/72253/retr…

@mrdoornbos Oooh. Good spot. Will fix that! :)
English

@Devilish_Design Neat. The movie did use the US spelling of theater, just FYI.

@eevblog They certainly don't make them like they use to.
This one is getting close to 50 years old and is another of Lee Felsenstein's designs
