In any normal country, purchasing stolen goods is an act that entails legal liability. This applies, in particular, to grain stolen by Russia. Another vessel carrying such grain has arrived at a port in Israel and is preparing to unload. This is not – and cannot be – legitimate business. The Israeli authorities cannot be unaware of which ships are arriving at the country’s ports and what cargo they are carrying. Russia is systematically seizing grain on temporarily occupied Ukrainian land and organizing its export through individuals linked to the occupiers. Such schemes violate the laws of the State of Israel itself. Ukraine has taken all necessary steps through diplomatic channels to prevent such incidents. However, we see that yet another such vessel has not been stopped. I have instructed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine to inform all partners of our state about the situation. Based on information from our intelligence services, Ukraine is preparing a relevant sanctions package that will cover both those directly transporting this grain and the individuals and legal entities attempting to profit from this criminal scheme. We will also coordinate with European partners to ensure that the relevant individuals are included in European sanctions regimes. Ukraine counts on partnership and mutual respect with every state. We are genuinely working to enhance security, particularly in the Middle East region. We expect that the Israeli authorities will respect Ukraine and refrain from actions that undermine our bilateral relations.

Sadly, yes. America nowadays stands with a corrupt and pro-Kremlin EU leader.

The vast majority of Irish people support Ukraine 100% and are glad to see the government expressing that support in diplomacy and humanitarian aid. Europe is accruing a debt to heroic Ukrainians who are defending us with their lives which can never be repaid.

Proud to convey to President Zelenskyy Ireland’s steadfast solidarity with Ukraine in the face of Russian aggression. During our Presidency of the EU, we will work to ensure Ukraine receives the support it needs and achieves progress on Ukraine’s EU accession path.

The threat of NATO’s break-up, easing sanctions on Russia, a massive energy crisis in Europe, halting aid for Ukraine and blocking the loan for Kyiv by Orbán - it all looks like Putin’s dream plan.

Ukraine is liberating more territory than Russia is occupying — and we are doing so primarily with our own capabilities. Fact. In early 2022, while much of the world was still calibrating its response, Ukraine was already liberating Kyiv region and other areas — with limited external support. Also a fact. Early, decisive actions did exist. Before February 24, the United Kingdom, Lithuania, Estonia, Latvia, and Canada delivered lethal assistance: Stingers, Javelins, anti-tank weapons, small arms, ammunition. These were not symbolic steps. They were timely. After February 24, the United States moved first at scale — announcing a $350 million package on February 26. Shortly thereafter, the European Union took an unprecedented step, allocating €450 million for lethal assistance and €50 million for non-lethal support through the European Peace Facility — effectively breaking a long-standing political taboo. Speed mattered then. It still does. Today, the international response to threats linked to Iran is faster, clearer, more synchronized. The capacity for rapid, decisive action has always existed. The difference lies in how quickly it is activated. Because delays cost territory. Delays cost lives. Timely decisions change outcomes.

We do not see any genuine desire from Russia to end the war, and we share this view with our partners. The United States believes that Putin wants the war to end. Our views here are completely different. On one hand, that’s not a problem – it’s normal for opinions to differ. But on the other hand, when we want to end the war, to accelerate this process, we raise the issue of putting pressure on Russia. We know that Putin does not want to end the war. We call for additional pressure to make him want to. But the U.S. believes he wants to end it, so why apply extra pressure if Russia is showing it is also ready for peace? There are different perspectives on certain issues, and this is something we need to work through. From an interview with Le Monde (3/5).

Report by Chief of the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine Oleh Ivashchenko. First, we have irrefutable evidence that the Russians continue to provide intelligence to the Iranian regime. Russia is using its own signals intelligence and electronic intelligence capabilities, as well as part of the data obtained through cooperation with partners in the Middle East. Second, the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine regularly provides assessments of the situation on the frontline, as well as internal Russian information regarding activity on the battlefield. The Russian command constantly seeks to exaggerate the achievements of Russian forces on the frontline and subsequently use such inflated data from the headquarters of the Russian occupation contingent grouping in the negotiation process. Third, we have clear information that Russia is planning further deployment of ground-based control stations for long-range UAVs in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine, as well as four stations in Belarus. We will respond accordingly. I have instructed Oleh Ivashchenko to inform partners and media representatives about the data that we can make public.

We are already working with the Gulf countries and practically every day we are in contact with these countries at the team level. There are already concrete results from our units in defense – we are providing our expertise and our real support. Other countries of the world should now also make their contribution to stabilization. We all need joint decisions and joint work so that there is more security for everyone. I thank everyone who contributes to coordination and shared results.

Hezbollah’s decision to attack Israel in support of Iran endangers the entire region. Israel has the right to self-defence in line with international law. At the same time, Israel’s heavy-handed response is causing mass displacement and is further destabilising a fragile situation. My statement ↓ link.europa.eu/Q363CP

China and Russia must be having a field day. They are the ones who benefit from divisions among Allies. If Greenland’s security is at risk, we can address this inside NATO. Tariffs risk making Europe and the United States poorer and undermine our shared prosperity. We also cannot let our dispute distract us from the our core task of helping to end Russia’s war against Ukraine.

The relocation of the Oreshnik system to the territory of Belarus is nearing completion. We understand where it will be deployed. We are sharing this information with our partners. The partners themselves can assess this threat and understand how to respond to it. We previously warned our European and American partners that Russia would deploy Oreshnik on the territory of Belarus. We showed the operational range of Oreshnik. This poses a threat to many European countries, including Poland, Germany, and others. As of now, Oreshnik cannot be intercepted by drones. They have already used Oreshnik against Ukraine. We understand how to counter this threat. We have asked our partners to impose sanctions on companies located in Europe and on other continents that supply components suitable for Oreshnik through third countries. I do not see these sanctions being imposed. For now, we believe that Russia will continue producing Oreshnik. The number of systems is known to us. They are not doing this without reason. My question is quite logical. If our partners – the United States and others – are making significant diplomatic efforts to end the war, can they also apply pressure on Russia to prevent it from deploying Oreshnik closer to Europe, closer to the borders with Poland? I believe this is something that must be addressed.
