Let's run that back. One more time... Or two? Our crew is now safely back on Earth. Relive the historic mission, and keep an eye on our website as more images and videos keep rolling in. go.nasa.gov/3OhVQph

@AdamsHelios @jaredadairbell Evangelicals did that? Yeah their crazy! They also just killed four more LDS people in Michigan! Good thing the LDS where got away from the murdering savages and got a treaty with the local native tribes to inhabit their no-mans land in the salt lake valley as a buffer state.

@jaredadairbell They also killed Indians along the way to the Great Salt Lake, where they founded the Deseret Territory, in order to build their version of "Zion." Under the direction of obese polygamist Brigham Young.

@Mtuatwy @PrideCausesBias @joshnaa2gez Yeah, that's very open-minded and honest. i would be curious what you think about the second option in the original post? Since i believe your comment only referred to the first.

I was answering a narrow viewed post with an equally narrow response. The problem that arises for those advocating for a particular god is that there is a mountain of issues that must be overcome(many by faith alone)! Whereas my viewpoint is that the simplest answer is usually the correct one. Ever hear of Occam’s razor? Now, as an atheist, I am much more open to possibilities than any member of a particular sect can be because I am willing to change my mind. Having the incredible claim that your particular god is the only true god it falls to you to prove the claim. Unfortunately, for you, faith and belief do not constitute factual metrics by which a thing can be verified. All of that being said, I welcome any and all factual proof of your claim so that it can be verified and if it is not insubstantial I will be the first to agree with you and help to proclaim the truth. I hope this clarifies my position.

The traditional Christian answer to the problem of suffering: “God wills it, and he is good, so it must be good that innocents suffer.” The Latter-day Saint answer: “God loves us so much that he wants us to be exalted with him and receive every joy and happiness he experiences. And the only way to transform us into beings like him is for us to freely choose a temporary, mortal existence of evil, suffering, and death, where we can learn from experience to do what he does… namely, to bring about order from the chaos, as he does from the beginning of creation. And, he will send his only begotten son to show us the perfect path, and save us when we inevitably stray from it, if we accept his grace and willingly sacrifice the natural man to be born again.” The former is a reason to hate God. The latter is a reason to love him with all your heart, might, mind and strength. Only such an outcome could justify the suffering.

My OP is correct... Mormonn doctrine clearly states that it is the "only true and living church upon the face of the whole earth". This doctrine comes from an 1831 revelation to Joseph Smith (Doctrine and Covenants 1:30), and asserts that their organization holds the exclusive authorized priesthood and full doctrines required for salvation, specifically for this final dispensation... that is literally the doctrine of the Mormon faith and the entire reason it was founded... as the only TRUE faith. Furthermore, we are using two different definitions of heaven. There is a Biblical definition that I ascribe to... and the Mormon one that Mormons ascribe to.

@Shad0wPatriot @HiMay8TAte @TheModerateCase Everyone can receive whatever knowledge and covenants they require after death. Honestly, the telestial kingdom is very similar to what you believe heaven will be like anyway. You dont believe in eternal families or progression, right?

@Shad0wPatriot @HiMay8TAte @TheModerateCase Like seriously. My interactions with every other faith: kind, polite, respectful sharing, prayed together. evangelicals: Spat on me, screamed in my face, cussed me out, called me every possible slur, tried to run me over with a car, and threaten me with violence and death.

@Shad0wPatriot @HiMay8TAte @TheModerateCase Yes, and you believe that anyone who is LDS or Catholic or JW or anything that is different than you are Satan spawn who burn for eternity because we are all stanic demonic cults because only you can be saved because only you know Jesus, and only you get offended by truth claims.

@Shad0wPatriot @HiMay8TAte @TheModerateCase Yes, it is the only true and live church, that does not mean that only those who are members of it are saved. The church on earth does not save Jesus Christ saves. Only true and living = the only one directly established by command of Jesus Christ, and lead by revelation.

@ZoJubal @PoisonedFoon No, we didn't start this, the protestants started murdering us and have been hounding us ever sense. We defend ourselves and invite all to read and pray and come closer to Jesus christ (honestly, whatever that looks like were happy for you), we believe you will be in heaven.

If your idea of promoting your church, is to attack my church, I’m going to assume that your church sucks. Why not talk about the virtues of your beliefs, instead of tearing down what you think are the inconsistencies/untruths of mine? Yours should be able to win out on its own merits, right?

@edlars53 @PoisonedFoon If you are a christian, then you believe in the resurrection of Jesus Christ. No miracle compares to that. If you believe that God is all powerful, then there is no claim made by us that is out of the uestion or ridiculous. Unless you're not a christian.

Have you ever paid attention to the symbols and hand gestures of the three figures in this section of Facsimile 2? Why would ancient Egyptians use all these Masonic ritual signs? They must have had a time machine.

@Combat_History @Primary_Pianist Genesis chapter one detailing the creation is a post moses edition made by someone else. And deuteronomy itself is very possably an insertion by the scribes (lawyers) during the great forsakening. Which would have been when Lehi left jerusalem and the The Book of Mormon started.

@Didactic_K @Primary_Pianist You make no claims, just arbitrary dismissals. Of the things that can be verified, he Bible is perfect. The book of mormon is not. The Bible is inspired by God. The book of mormon may be inspired, but its not by God.

@Combat_History @Primary_Pianist The book of Isaiah was added to by different authors. There's the long ending of Mark. The genesis found in dead seas scrolls is missing over half of modern genesis, and that is not in one chuck either. It's spread throughout the book. Just later insertions, not from Moses.

@Combat_History @Primary_Pianist All the original autographs of the books of the bible are gone. The earliest is a tiny fragment (papyrus 52) dates appox 125 AD. And they are not sure if it is or is not from the gospel of John. There are greek manuscripts that lack certain verses and whole chapters

@Combat_History @Primary_Pianist The bible and The Book of Mormon are both compolations of earlier works. The Bible, though, was compiled by apostate Catholic Priests even as recently as the 1500s, who discarded and suppressed many valuable books. Differnt edits still have different books.

@Combat_History @Primary_Pianist Dude, you said the same thing, just mirrored. The Bible and Book of Morman are both imperfect records written by imperfect men detailing their interactions with divinity, and the hand of divinity in the lives of individuals/peoples/nations. Some of which they did not understand.
