@noCombos My other choice would actually be release Takeda or Quan Chi. Both kinda fell flat in my opinion. I think Takeda is fun now. Hot take but I thought every Khaos Reigns dlc character was really unique and designed well for the kameo system. KP1 though was rough

@noCombos But similar to MK11 Mileena, they just went away from his archetype. Scorpion has pretty much always had a vortex with spear, neutral skip pressure with tp cancel, and a decent mid He released in MK1 without any of that. Thankfully they added it all about a year into the game.

Was there a character in MKX that when released, was largely a disappointment or disliked by the community? I’m talking similar vibes to Mileena in MK11 being a disappointment or Shao Khan in MK11 being underwhelming for a former boss character. I can’t remember any from MKX

Got MK9 for Xbox cause I wanted a playable hard copy, but I’ll also be grabbing the Steam version so that I have more people to play! I’m pretty excited because I’ve watched and learned so much thanks to a bunch of creators, but i’ve never played.

@LoochyTV The audio tech clearly improved on the new engine for MW19, and it just had a ton of unintended consequences that were amplified by the removal of Dead Silence perk

@LoochyTV I just think footstep audio was too loud and the maps were bad. Forget the dead silence stuff etc, it’s just COD really becomes a grueling camp simulator if you have perfect directional audio with a large radius.

MW 2019 was the best COD of the last 8 or so years and arguably top 3 all time. Respectfully I don’t care about what the pro players thought of it. -Best SND we’ve ever seen -Sound + Aesthetics were S Tier -Gunplay might be the best we’ve ever had -Gunfight -Warzone Camping DEFINITELY was an issue, I’ll give you that. The game had some maps that were abysmally slow. BUT MW 2019 was literally a franchise revitalization moment for Call of Duty. It was grounded, it was gritty, and it reminded people of the old days of COD. After Infinite Warfare (2016), WWII (2017) and Black Ops 4 (2018)…and in the face of competition like Fortnite, PUBG, and Apex Legends dominating the streaming space… MW 2019 single handedly forced Call of Duty back to forefront of cultural relevance. I don’t give a shit if the game launched without red dots on the mini map, or Dead Silence being a field upgrade. Peanuts compared to what this game did for Call of Duty as a whole. MW 2019 gave COD a lifeline when it needed it most.

@TheseKnivesOnly I thought it was the best version of “hardcore small map 24/7” of any COD because it had the best movement and was pretty innovative look and feel wise for a COD at the time. But yeah other than that mode, it’s such a rose tinted glasses game.

At least someone remembers lol MW2019 MP is the worst MP experience I’ve ever had on a COD. OG Warzone was fun though! I’ll give them that.

@MK_Soup On PC is it just buying a steam key from a 3rd party or is there an emulator? I didn’t realize it was still playable on PC cause I couldn’t find it on the Steam storefront

@DiffFGC Extremely fundamental character. He has a strong vortex, but he has strong buttons (stand 3 anti air + counterpoke, long range d4, ex hellfire on knockdown for free damage, instant air teleport, solid damage, etc) PC is probably best bet but some play on xbox

@Hosses21 The main this is that Deadlock movement tech isn’t all that difficult, so the reward you gain is lower in a lot of cases cause your opponent can do it consistently as well. But it feels better to perform for a lot of them.

@Hosses21 I still think Apex has better feeling slide jumps and more rewarding wall bounces, but I think Deadlock has better feeling wall bounces and more rewarding slides/dash tech.
