@WayneWaldropW When a figurehead abandons a movement, those who follow the figurehead instead of the ideals that propelled him in the first place is in a cult of personality, and nothing more.

In other words, when un-spun: Even the country’s most vicious, bloodthirsty neocons failed to get on board with this mission. Probably because there’s no real plan, as Charlie Kirk pointed out, for succession on the back end. Trump is signaling he “hopes someone emerges” in the chaos. An outrageous gamble with the lives of 100M Persians.

@Richard22980 @DLoesch @megynkelly You witnessed Desert Storm firsthand and never once thought to yourself, “what did all my friends and fellow military members actually die for?”

👆🏻Attn @megynkelly . When I enlisted, I did so to serve my country. We served at the direction of our Commander in Chief. When our fellow service members lost their lives, they returned home under our country’s flag. We served our country no matter where the mission took us. These patriots died serving OUR country.

I believe the 221 Marines killed in the Beirut barracks bombing died for America. And that the Navy diver Iran tortured to death in 1985 died for America. And the 19 Airmen in 1996. And the soldiers who have been killed by Iranian proxies. And every service member who enlisted. Because soldiers know what it is they sign up for and why. Because they’re not simple-minded children undeserving of respect and dignity. People should not diminish the decision that brought them to serve, especially if they themselves did not.

@DLoesch @chiproytx Then “died for America” has no meaning. If all it means is “they died because powerful people told them to” then it’s meaningless. Dying for America means dying to protect us, our way of life and our safety. None of these objectives are served by the war we just started.

@DrewHLive Finishing a war that was declared on us in 1979 and was never declared over is not a new war, is it?

This clip highlights the exact problem Walsh was raising - the fact that the pretext for the war in Iran keeps changing. First, the justification was “it’s not a war”. Then the justification it was nukes. Then the justification was ballistic missiles and drones. Then, after it’s quite clearly war, the justification is “Trump isn’t starting it, he’s finishing Iran’s war that it has been waging for 47 years”. With a mix of “he’s doing it to liberate Iranians” in there as well. Now, the newest argument seems to be an assassination attempt on Trump - that predated the election - justified the war? So you attack what you think is Matt’s hypocrisy, while never actually addressing the substance of what he said, thus making Matt’s point. Plus, even if the new pretext is the previous failed assassination attempt, that predated the election. Had Trump run on “I will kill the Iranian regime for their attempt to assassinate me”, I think most people would have supported that back then. Or maybe not. But at least that would have been baked into the equation, and consistent with this new course of action. But that’s not what he ran on. And now, the messaging trying to justify this war is like trying to hammer an egg to a wall. Your response to Matt Walsh highlights the very problem he was raising. If the justification now is previous assassination attempts that predate the election, it does not explain the change in tactic now. It just seems like another facet of the moving goal post of a pretext. Respectfully submitted.

Will the real @MattWalshBlog please stand up? Matt said that if you change your position on an issue, that's fine, but you should explain how you arrived at your new position. I agree. It's time for 2026 Matt Walsh to explain why he now disagrees with 2025 Matt Walsh... Right?

@scrowder Destroying Iran for Israel is a bonus. Everything Trump has done since he has gotten into office is about counteracting China. China. China. China. I'm sick of this being framed as a war for Israel.

@tylerbowyer This is just lazy, 2003-style war propaganda, and everyone knows it. Being against a war the admin can’t even coherently explain the justification for, a war that represents a huge slap in the face to all MAGA voters, is not “siding with terrorists.” Shut up.

Who would have guessed that a sales ban would turn into a possession ban? Everyone. The Rhode Island House has introduced H8073, an update to last year’s bill that banned the sale of so-called “assault weapons” but included a grandfather clause for current owners. Now, just a year later, they are demanding you turn them in or become a felon.

🚨 HOLY CRAP. Sen. Rick Scott just PUMMELED a pro-terrorist "CODE PINK" heckler after she defended Iran "How DUMB are you?! How can you be THIS STUPID?!" CODE PINK: They said it's not true Iran wants to kill us. Saying it and doing it— SCOTT: "OH, so people saying and building nuclear weapons saying they want to destroy America, we shouldn't take them seriously? HOW DUMB ARE YOU?" "You think it's OK for people saying they want to destroy us, and ignore it? They build 100 missiles a month! How can you be THIS STUPID?!" What a MORON!

End Tribalism in Politics
End Tribalism in Politics@EndTribalism·
Republicans like Thomas Massie, Tucker Carlson, Megyn Kelly, MTG, Matt Walsh, and others like them denouncing the war in Iran deserve a lot of credit right now. They are all influential in their own ways, and are facing extreme backlash for standing by their principles. It takes courage to stand up for your beliefs during a crisis. Most people capitulate to whatever their leader tells them to believe. There are Democrats like Ro Khanna who also deserve credit. But many Democrats are seizing the opportunity to denounce this war not because they believe in the principle behind it, but to score political points. The American public is vehemently against this war, yet the current government does not care. It is critical that we remember who betrayed their beliefs for this war so that in the future they are never trusted again.

You’re mad at the person saying the truth instead of the person who did the thing being acknowledged. They did die for Israel. Know how we know? Because not one single American will be happier, healthier, safer or richer because of this war. Instead, we’ll see terror attacks slaughter innocent American citizens in blowback events like already happened in Austin. We’ll see American troops die for Israel’s regional hegemony play.

REPORTER: "Did Israel force your hand to launch these strikes against Iran?" PRESIDENT TRUMP: "No, I might've forced their hand. We were having negotiations with these lunatics, and it was my opinion that they were going to attack first...and I didn't want that to happen. So if anything, I might have forced Israel's hand."
