I am learning Spanish. My ability to read and hear far exceeds my ability to write and speak. I have seen people on TikTok learning by posting mini vlogs in Spanish. I'm not ready for that yet, but I think I will start to tweet at least once day in Spanish. Open to corrections!

My fibroids were wrapped around my spine & impinged on my ability to walk by the time I got my surgery
Take action before they affect your quality of life & work life
Also it’s interesting to me that anglo women & their docs call them abdominal tumors, not fibroids and seem to get way more attention & sympathy in doing so 🧐

Last year, I was invited to contribute a chapter to a book on migration and humour.
It did not work out.
What I encountered was best described as epistemological misalignment. Or simply, my Blackness was too Black for the project, and I was not willing to shrink it.
