@thestarcreator Yes once a month at least! Also find your dishwasher manual, the arms that twist inside actually are detachable in some machines and can be washed in the sink. Not all are detachable though!

Friends it is not the dishwasher tablets/soap. It is that you actually need to wash your dishwasher regularly. 500ml of white vinegar in the top rack, wash on your hottest wash. Follow with dusting the bottom with baking soda and do a quick wash. Do this every 3/4 weeks.

@Nassahx So if it didn't use to happen and starts then it is likely that the vinegar clean is useful. However, if it has always done it then it is likely either hardwater (solution - dishwasher salt, use rinse aid) or too much soap (reduce/ change soap, use hot cycles).

For clarity, the vinegar goes into a dishwasher-proof container (e.g pyrex jug) which you seat in the top rack. Once the hot cycle is finished, take out that container, then dust the bottom with baking soda. At the end of the baking soda cycle, wipe any remnants.
