@DoctorWhoHugh @natexhaunted @djgibbo71 @Tales_TimeLord If that’s the only time it was said or mentioned that would be fine. But it wasn’t. The most egregious was when Donna/Rose were given the stupid line about the Doctor not being able to understand something because he’s a man.

@DiSoRiEnTeD110 @natexhaunted @djgibbo71 @Tales_TimeLord She gets treated poorly in the past, stands up for herself, and that "cringy"? Maybe try to understand where a character is coming from instead of burying your head the sand. The Doctor IS that person who says what needs to be said no matter what people might think.

@RandomLolTwat @djgibbo71 @Tales_TimeLord The difference is that these days people prefer to trash something because its more interesting for them than actually enjoying something else. At this point just move on. What is the point in continuing your tirade of hate for something you haven't enjoyed in what? 8 years? 10?

@djgibbo71 @Tales_TimeLord Oh please, Moffat and RTD1 had plenty of these stories. The reality is you finally realised that you'd become the very thing this show has always been against... a racist, sexist homophobic bigot that any incarnation of the Doctor would look at and walk the other way.

@Tales_TimeLord Because it wasn’t made an issue since then Chinballs and RTD made everything about race, gender and sexuality

People ganged up on 'Space Babies' when it had all the strengths and failings of episodes like Season 1's 'Rose', 'End of the World' or 'Aliens of London/World War 3'. I never understood that.

Yes this is originating from the current hate for Russell T. Davies which I think is just downright undeserved. Criticism is totally fine, but some people are being downright childish.

I'll be honest, there is an ongoing theme that I'm seeing of people with "writer" or something along that line in their bio trashing on creatives. I can't think of a single creative in the public eye who acts like this, except Tarantino and once Scorsese and both got flack.

@London19653p Silence in the Library (what makes me laugh is that she mentions modern day London but that is one episode where they don't go to modern day London, outside of the CAL world, but the Doctor doesn't go there)!

dwtwt being all shocked pikachu face that the bbc is having a hard time finding a showrunner for dw as if every showrunner hasn’t had insane amounts of abuse (including death threats) hurled at them by the fandom from day 1 😭😭

You don't have to love RTD2 to recognise how many factors were outside RTD's control. RTD had an original plan. But a series of circumstances outside his control forced him to pivot repeatedly. Looking at RTD2 without that context misses a huge part of the story. A thread....🧵

Even the Reality War wasn't that bad IMO, just the circumstances surrounding it and how sad it was that Ncuti's run ended so early! But I quite liked the Ranis and giant skelly-Omega and all the UNIT stuff and seeing 15 fly around like Luke at the Battle of Hoth.

Like, even my issues with Episode 6 aside (given how badly it aged in the years since it was written), I remember turning off the tv after Episode 7 thinking "this is nearly a home run".

Are we forgetting that until The Reality War, we were pretty much in agreement that season 2 was bordering on a generational run? Now we're acting like it was the antithesis to creativity? I get it, parts of it weren't great but for the most part I thought it was quite fantastic

@50Doctor I'm starting to think it's the BBC who is getting him to say this, not something he himself wants to say.

For example, I loved The Reality War as a episode, but the circumstances around what happened I hate, circumstances that were due to Disney's indecision. Furthermore, the issues I do have with the episode stem from the reshoots they had to do due to... you guessed it, Disney.

I LOVE this theory, but it only just misses out in working as the outbreak in TWD occurs August 25th, 2010 and Breaking Bad ends in September of that year. Meaning for the epilogue of Breaking Bad, the outbreak would've had to have already begun.
best of breaking bad@bestofbreakin

1. One of the wildest TV fan theories says Breaking Bad is secretly a prequel to The Walking Dead. The clue that started it all? Walter White’s blue meth showing up after the world ends. Here’s a post explaining the connection between these two shows.
