Again, it was never canon. It's not a retcon when its something that hasn't been canon for over a decade! You can't retcon something twice.

The difference between Anakin and Osha & Mae:
Osha and Mae were (apparently) created BY Aniseya, USING a vergence in the Force.
Anakin WAS a vergence in the Force (Qui-Gon says this), created by the Force.
Thus the twins don't "ruin" or contradict Anakin's story.

@Ferreira_UT @retneysholocron As for the other thing... the only Jedi who were privy to the cover-up was Vernastra. Ki-Adi Mundi appears in one scene where he only says that Mae (in the footage) could be apart of a splinter order, and/or a rogue jedi. No one even suspected 'Sith' until episode 5.

@retneysholocron I actually liked The Acolyte, it was so overhated and you can tell a lot of the people criticising it didn't even watch it considering a lot was actually explained in the show, my biggest issue was them pointlessly adding Ki Adi Mundi into it broke lore and just didn't make sense

This is what people mean when they say media literacy is dead.
A character cant fulfill an arc these days and die, they have to have some grand cheesy purpose. Not to mention that Daniel literally saved BB.
