The process takes to long for short term grants. Milestones are impossible to predict for long term grants. My 2 cents.

@aiyadt @ZcashSpicyTakes @_aristarchus_ @NighthawkWallet 5/ If I applied for a multiple year grant and had to lay out every milestone ahead of time, there's a good chance we would miss delivery time on some milestones and my team would go unpaid. It's impossible to predict everything ahead of time that far into the future.

@ZcashSpicyTakes @_aristarchus_ @NighthawkWallet @aiyadt Would love to see ZCG fund a team long term working on messaging for Zcash. I would have been working on Zcash full time but couldn't get proper funding for anything via the grants program. The process feels broken.

@_aristarchus_ @NighthawkWallet It also seems hypocritical that @aiyadt so poorly handled @DocumentingZEC’s grant request to build a monetizable inbox messaging app on Zcash when it had a lot of community support. The ZCG drove away an enthusiastic team trying to build a neat idea.
