@robertliefeld I was obsessed with Deadpool from the get-go, mainly because of his incredible look. The later character and meta stuff added to it, but like Spider-Man, the design of the costume cannot be discounted in terms of the foundational appeal of the character.

So, you are telling me, the guy who wrote and illustrated his 1st appearance, why he hit like a comet? This is rich. And quite funny. Appearances can never be discounted. I could put Deadpool in another costume, another look and guarantee you he never strikes a nerve. Ever. Thank goodness, I provided both the art and the story that defined his character.
