@new_era72 Free safety misses tackle on first round back with 10 yards of space either way to make a move. Least shocking thing I’ve seen all day. Good thing the Bears didn’t draft any of the other guys from Purdue that put their FS in this situation.

All that crap we heard about Kadyn Proctor on draft night isn’t adding up.
To me, he sounds like an extremely mature and dedicated 20-year-old, not a lazy kid.
We’ll know more when he gets in the building, but as of now, I’m loving the pick.

@Danger2Carlos @DariusJButler @PatMcAfeeShow No argument there. I was honestly more upset about Bain than Downs. But I love Proctor’s potential and the young OL being built. Douglas is only pick I don’t like and he’s 6’4 and ran 4.39 so he could hit too 🤷♂️.

Next season we will have a lot of money to spend and a high pick to get our Safety of the future unless we find someone in this draft

@LanceZierlein I assume what made it more difficult as well was that teams weren’t dealing 2027 picks so you couldn’t move out on Day 3.

An addendum....
About an hour after I sent this, I found out one team had a grand total of 34 total 1st & 2nd round grades in this draft. 64 draft picks over the first two rounds and this team had just 34 grades that fit inside those rounds. That speaks to this draft specifically

I've seen a lot of talk about consensus boards in the draft this year. I can tell you that I had multiple conversations after day two and then again after the draft was over with teams who thought it was the Wild West this year. I think one of the things happening is that there are players going back to college now because of the money available that would have gone second through fourth round. With all of those players now out of the draft pool, there is extreme variance that is developing. I would expect this to continue on to some degree, but this was also a really funky draft in terms of the board available to teams.
