@jon_severs @Helen_Amass I knew it wasn't right the minute they started it when I worked in special Ed. 25 years ago. Pathologising millions of kids who didn't fit a tightly controlled mold, got us millions of kids who because they like a certain music or something, put on drugs.

@bphillipsonMP Let’s be crystal clear: Persistent absence is still horrendously HIGH. Pre-pandemic, persistent absence was ~10.9%. So far this year, it’s at 18%, a rise of 65% vs pre-pandemic. And the key driver is ILLNESS. We have the tools to fix this though… by CLEANING THE INDOOR AIR!

I'm optimistic that the attendance crisis will experience a reversion to the mean over the next 2-4 years. Behaviour will take longer, but heading in the right direction.

It's a small thing in a terrible world, but people spelling my surname properly would be nice. I can only assume there are lots of people who enjoy shepard's pie. Or perhaps they believe that the Lord is their shepperd. Or perhaps they are just idiots.

So I'm trying to work out a replacement for our schools for #Jamboard. I honestly can't find anything suitable. Jamboard was easy to use & integrated with Google. I really feel @GoogleForEdu have let us down on this one. Is it too late for a reprieve? Retweet if you agree
