Man the number of people in my menchies assuring me that the housing problem is undocumented immigrants, landlords holding vast numbers of units empty, or “deadbeat renters.” The fundamental problem is lack of supply. I don’t know why this is so hard to believe.

@streetsforall A program dedicated to funding/implementing speed tables and on side streets and old street car boulevards on the east side would be transformative for our communities. Very little for a community to NOT like about slowing down commuters/speeders & encourages other modes! 🚌🚴🏽‍♂️🚃

What a great model we could follow in LA… we just need to resource our speed hump program properly and change it from a system where residents beg and go through all these bureaucratic hoops to a citywide proactive effort.

Boston is the first US city (that I know of) that is proactively installing 1,500 speed humps onto 80+ miles of streets instead reactively responding to speeding issues.
