@05VauxhallCorsa @Bsmith3y @TyTalksBaseball @BBGreatMoments Trout is miles and miles ahead of Harper as a baseball player. They’ll both deserve to get in right away, but the idea that Harper would be more deserving of that than Trout because of playoff wins, which are far from the most important thing in a player’s HOF case, is asinine.
English

@Bsmith3y @TyTalksBaseball @BBGreatMoments if trout is first ballot with 0 playoff wins, harper is first ballot imo

@AcHammerTime10 @TyTalksBaseball @BBGreatMoments This offense paired with what he’s produced defensively (which to be clear, I’m not saying to suggest he’s been some wizard out there, but he’s been passable for the most part) is plenty enough for him to be on a clear HOF track.
English

@AcHammerTime10 @TyTalksBaseball @BBGreatMoments Aside from your first sentence here not actually being true….
Slash lines/OPS by year and OPS+ in the first pic. wRC+, a better version of OPS+, in the second pic (+ total offensive value w baserunning included, just for good measure).

@AcHammerTime10 @TyTalksBaseball @BBGreatMoments “2 of the least productive ‘MVP’ seasons of all time” is hilarious, particularly when I think about his 2015 season, which was literally an all-time great season. Also, his career is ahead of Dale Murphy’s at this point, and the gap between them is in all likelihood only going….
English

@WesVeve @theblockspot All-time, yes. Right now? Hell no. Ohtani (who to be clear, isn’t the best hitter today like the OP said) has been way ahead of him since 2023.
