Alexander's 2025 season with the #Astros was VERY misleading. Make no mistake about it, he was very lucky and didn't deserve that low ERA he had last year. He's getting exposed big time in this outing, I'm disappointed but not surprised at all. Get him off of this team.

You can argue that AAA wouldn't do anything for Cam Smith, but: 1. Hitting against MLB guys for the last 120 games hasn't done much for him 2. You have no clue what some time down there could do for his swing. Sometimes you need less important ABs to work through things and make those adjustments. He's young. He played 5 AA games before making his MLB debut. There is a reason that NEVER happens It's not hate to admit that he was rushed up here and is struggling. They wasted a year + of his service time by rushing him up here, for him to offensively be good for a total of 35 (?) games. Cam has so much potential, has fantastic bat speed. He has no knowledge of the zone and is wasting challenges as well. These are things guys work on in the minors. He got none of that

@TyTalksBaseball Even with Walkers late surge... still a VERY valid comparison. That .OBP is especially bad. AND FanGraphs had him near the bottom third of qualified 1st basemen defensively. His OPS was under .700 for most of the year.
