As the year comes to an end, we continue to prioritise capacity building and leadership to strengthen our gaps. We’re grateful to VSO through the ACTIVE 2 Programme for two powerful days of capacity strengthening alongside fellow CSGs. #VSO #Active2

What do you know about the Annual Development Plan and the role you play in it as a citizen?

I don't think Kenyans really understand the amount of wastage and outright pillaging of our resources that is done "legally", in the counties. I am currently analyzing all money spent by each county in Kenya on 1) Domestic travel 2) Foreign travel 3) MCA allowances 4) MCA Cars and Mortgages 5) Governors and their Deputies' Cars and Mortgages. I am telling you right now, you are going to be shocked. We are going to need to have an honest discussion with our politicians and tell them, once and for all, cut the crap out! No more shenanigans. We cannot do this anymore, folks. We cannot do this, people. It's insane. It's diabolical. I want you to look at this example of Kilifi, where the average citizen makes KSH 102,000 per year! Per freaking year! 49% poverty rate. Take a look at this example in Kilifi for just 1 year: Governor's mansion: KSH 140 million: Car Loan Fund (Governor/Deputy): KSH 120 million MCAs Cars: KSH 111 million. Domestic travel: KSH 245 million Foreign travel: KSH 30 million. MCA allowances: KSH 30 million. Bear in mind that you and I paid for all this crap, because the county can only raise KSH 254 million in "own service revenue". which incidentally they splashed on just Governor's house and cars! Question: Who the heck are we serving in this country? Politicians, or the people? Be the judge. @KilifiCountyGov @WilliamsRuto @rigathi @OkiyaOmtatah @EricLatiff @citizentvkenya @NationBreaking @HillaryGondi @MoGAbdi @Senate_KE @NAssemblyKE @GideonMungaroM
