With respect, there is no finish — only more cost and death. You can not assure certainty nor stability with bombs. After what the USA did, the Strait will be vulnerable for the next 50 years by someone lobbing a grenade/drone randomly or at intervals. What was relatively stable is now a piracy/violence template. Such is the uncertainty created. Many locals will welcome the random instability. Profiteers will like the cost of the fuel likewise going up there also.

No matter what Trump does next, the Middle East will never look the same - Gulf countries are pissed - Iran is more hardline - Russia & China are salivating And if the regime survives, Trump loses any chance to control the Strait of Hormuz, the U.S. will come out much weaker, and China much stronger Trump should have never started this war, but at this stage may have no option but to finish the job.
