When we started Datawisp, we roughly summarized our goal as "we want to make working with data as easy as writing an email." This is partially because email is a now commonplace technology that changed the world, but also because the primary way that most folks interact with data is by asking other people to solve their data problems for them. Via email. Meet Wispy - our new AI-powered data assistant. You can talk to Wispy in plain English, just as you would with a human, and ask questions about your data. Wispy wears many hats and can answer a wide variety of questions about your data across many industries such as: -Which was our top-performing SKU at Walmart this quarter? -Which product lines are bought more frequently by men than women? -Do users who complete the demo spend more time in the product than those who don’t? -What’s the win rate for players who bought the Sword of Oblivion vs. those who didn’t? Check out this video where I show 2 examples of how Wispy answers questions about grocery sales and airport delays. Do you think this is as easy as sending an email? Let me know :)

@Hantao @SinjinMAYG The worst part is many of these projects were flagged at launch as smoke and mirrors. I’ll never forget that ‘Teddies’ product that raised like 10000 sol at pre sale and founder quit day 1 due to ‘mental health stress’ because of successful mint.

The reality is, you could see that gaming was struggling years ago when a lot of people got funding and released an indie game or pure web2 clone But the problem was that those projects sucked so much out, it made it harder for the 10 teams left in the space

Chat GPT is incredibly good at following directions even compared to the other excellent models out there, but... Image generation lags behind. Despite generating good images, ask for any changes and it really struggles to follow directions as well as it does for text.

@WelBeast We didn't show up. Pep came to win; we played not to lose. So when Kepa *did* make the mistake, we had no gameplan.

@0xsachi Yes, was literally just talking about this not an hour ago. The pace of innovation is insane. Luckily, there are many good AI tools that can easily build you a daily newsletter or summarize new releases by the big players etc.

Anyone else feel overwhelmed by the exponential increase in innovation in AI? How do people catch up with everything?

@andrewchen Nobody wants contrarian founders. I think your comment is accurate - VCs want founders that present things differently than they've heard elsewhere *while still* fitting within the generally accepted narrative.

everyone claims they want "contrarian" founders but what they actually want - founders with a non-obvious insight that happens to align with an explosive market This is bc contrarian + right = visionary. contrarian + wrong = unemployed

@0xsachi This is unironically a safety feature - if you answer yes they refer you to get help from a suicide hotline or something. It's just a bit extreme as a response to being in a bad mood.

since you started your account on aug 2021, you've tweeted 490,800 times. that's about 291 times per day, or roughly 18 tweets per hour (assuming you sleep for 8 hours), every day for almost five years. the reason why you don't see this america anymore is bc you don't go outside

My cousin Dietrich is one of the best paid engineers in Germany He makes €41,000 a year before tax Last week he got an offer from a big tech company in the US that would net him $350,000 "Are you going to take it?" I asked him "It's a good offer, but I would actually earn less than now" He is right. In Europe, he makes €41,000 and gets: - Free healthcare - Strong privacy protections - Diversity - Pension benefits If you count this in, it's much more than $350,000 European salaries are the highest in the world if you adjust for quality of life

@dieworkwear Certain cuisines call for expensive ingredients, but overall I have to agree with you. Also, a Vietnamese restaurant has to pay the same rent as an Italian one.

Industry direction: The gaming industry is very, very mature, at this point. Everything we’re seeing seems like a 2-5% improvement on the previous version of that same thing with little to no risk being taken by game studios. AAA game development funded by VCs is fully dead. At the same time, technology today makes it easier than ever for anyone to build a game even as a solo developer with little to no experience. Thus ironically there’s never been a better time to build a game if you have an awesome idea and the will to see it through. The “friendslop” revolution is a prime example of that. I think a lot of the games that were previously built on Roblox or within Fortnite can be standalone games with your game engine of choice and some vibe coding - possibly unlocking larger audiences.

Sharing my thoughts on GDC 2026 which felt weirdly positive and negative simultaneously. Two main points focused on AI and general industry direction. AI: If the polls of game devs on AI usage shared daily on LinkedIn are to be believed then AI usage is somewhere between 0% and 100%. Jokes aside, it does seem like everyone is using it in some capacity, although many are likely understating their AI usage out of fear of backlash from game audiences (deservedly or not).

Are you looking for a new job? Whether you're trying to change careers or you've been recently let go and are seeking new opportunities, check out the app I just built, PerfectJob. I've been experimenting with Lovable to build apps wanted to see if AI could do a better job matching candidates with suitable jobs than the existing solutions. PerfectJob takes a holistic approach to job searching and doesn't just rely on matching keywords. Instead, it puts itself in the shoes of the hiring manager and evaluates their likelihood to shortlist you for a specific job given the experience that you have. This avoids giving job seekers lots of results that match on a few keywords but are highly unsuitable because they're, for example, in a vertical where the candidate has no experience (e.g. healthcare). It also helps people whose career path isn't traditional (e.g. founders) and who might not want a similar job to what they were last doing. Let me know how it works for you! Also feel free to test it even if you're happy where you are.
