@FfraidCara @Geniustechw You’re allowed to pass on the left if traffic in the right lane is stopped. The car didn’t check his mirrors. True the cyclist could have avoided this by slowing down, he’s at fault there, but the car is also in the wrong.

@garryscott7 its against the law in Scotland to drive a motorvehicle on the pavement, hopefully that will be rolled out nation wide, 9 people have been killed on paths in my area. the latest a 5 year old child. PAVEMENTS FOR PEOPLE!

Can we just tax billionaires more and fix the country? In my debate with @garyseconomics I ask him how many billionaires there are in the UK. He says “a lot” And “we should tax the lot of them”. There are 151 of them (down by 15 from 2023). These people have about £500B of assets combined. Gary suggests a 1% wealth tax - That would collect £5B. Later he suggests a 3% - £15B assuming none of them leave. The UK Government is over-spending by £10B+ per month. Every year we are clocking up an extra £130Billion of debt that needs to be serviced. Gary’s best case scenario doesn’t touch the sides. Is he offering real solutions for the health of the middle-class or is he venting his anger at the existence of billionaires?
