@CalgaryPolice Unfortunately these criminals have flooded FB market place. 90% of the cars being “sold” are from people who have had FB for less than 1 year, have 3 friends, and very weak reviews. Everything looks sketchy these days.

🚨 We continue to see robberies connected to Facebook Marketplace meetups, particularly involving iPhone sales. In several incidents, individuals were targeted during private meetups, assaulted & had their phones stolen. These situations often happen when buyers or sellers are isolated or distracted. Taking a few precautions can help reduce the risk: 🔹 Meet in a safe, well-lit public location such as a shopping centre, cafe or police station parking lot. Busy areas make it easier to get help if something goes wrong. 🔹 When exchanging high-value items such as phones, consider bringing a friend or family member for added safety. 🔹 Avoid handing over your phone for “inspection” before payment is received. 🔹 Trust your instincts. If something feels off at any point, leave immediately. It’s okay to cancel a deal if you feel unsafe. 🔹 Whenever possible, arrange meetups during daylight hours to benefit from better visibility and a stronger public presence. 🔹 Be cautious of newly created accounts with limited activity, few or no friends or inconsistent information. ⚠️ Youth selling items are encouraged to involve a parent or trusted adult to help verify buyers, communicate ahead of time & attend the meetup. 📣 If something doesn’t feel right, report the listing or incident immediately. Suspicious activity can be reported to the non-emergency line at 403-266-1234.

@JonnEngstrom Huska doesn’t build the team. You can’t teach skill, players are born with it. He’s never had a team of highly talented players. My biggest issue is, if you’re not scoring/winning at least play a brand of hockey that leaves the opposing team with some lumps and bruises.

One of my biggest wishes moving forward into the future for the #Flames is that Huska is not the head coach of this team when they become a playoff team once again. Never seen such a boring brand of hockey in the entirety of my years watching this team. 3 years in a row being one of the lowest scoring teams, this year is just unbearable to watch at times. I know, they suck but I’m sure any other coach would have at least 5-6 players above 30 points; not just 3 (4 if you count Andersson) at 3/4 mark of the season with this roster.
