Are you really “dropping your shoulder”… or are you just leaning back? Big difference. When you lean back, you lose posture and tilt your spine away from the plate. That makes the barrel work up too early instead of staying through the zone. We want length through contact, a connected, slightly upward path that stays in the zone a long time. That’s what gives you margin for error and consistent hard barrels, even when timing isn’t perfect. The back shoulder should always work down and finish through. Even on elevated pitches, it will typically finish just under the front shoulder, hands just need to stay up. That’s good rotation with posture. That’s not collapsing or drifting backward. @EmmaPynes6 made a money adjustment here. Her contact quality was already strong… now it’s about to get better 🙌🏼 @Vol_Softball commit @MustangsRene
