USSSA Power 50 Showcase Tournament Champs! Our team offense/defense was on-point this weekend leading us to a 5-0 record. It’s so cool to watch her make adjustments step by step until it finally clicks and she just starts mashing. The second video gives you a side-view look at her swing. Through 116 plate appearances this summer with @unityschultheis, she’s hitting .400 with 10 HR, 36 RBI, and 23 walks. 2029 @RyleeSwilley has become one of the strongest hitters in my cage. She’s consistently in the 72 mph range and has topped out at 75.3 mph. Mechanically she’s in a really good place, and we’re still chasing the small details that can make her even better. When we started working together last summer, her velo actually dropped while we made some major changes. But her movement kept improving every week, which told me she was making the right adjustments. Then I didn’t see her for about a month because school started and she lives about 3 hours from @TheBallplex. The next time she walked in, she was a different player. She put in the work at home, plain and simple. She’s also been consistent with her strength training in the morning before school, and it’s no surprise her power has taken off. Talent gives you a chance. Your mindset and work ethic determine how far you go. Start the process at an early age, embrace the failures, make the adjustments, and you’ll be ready when it’s time to perform. Rylee is a great example of that. Hitting is fun. 😎 It’s even more fun when you know you’ve put in the work to be good at it. That kind of confidence is different. It’s not, “I hope I do well.” It’s, “I can’t wait to do damage.” Every trip to the plate is an opportunity to do damage. Even when you fail, you know you’ll get the next one. This week I was cleared to throw again 🙌🏻 Although the work still continues. Almost 8 weeks of no fielding was not fun. I got my feet wet last tournament playing second, made a few outs. Felt good to get back on the clay. Lots of batting reps this week. Struggled to get on base, most hits caught out but that’s the game. Won’t stop giving 💯 percent. Worked this week on outside & rise those were my struggles this past tournament. Got 4 days in the gym this week, 1 batting lesson, ubrzati agility & speed lesson, 4 days of home tee reps & a 4 mile running challenge & lots of rest & family time! Life is good 😊 looking forward to catching this coming tournament!
