But that doesn’t takeaway from everything great about this season and this group. This group faced expectations & adversity that no Purdue team had ever faced — and they faced it head on. They never ran. They fought. They fought until the clock said 0:00 last night.

Last night, Purdue fell in the Elite 8 to top-seeded Arizona which ended their season short of the ultimate goal. Sometimes it’s hard to wrap your head around things and collect your thoughts when you are so passionate about something, so I’ll give it my best shot 🧵

CBB fans in-season: Painter is a good coach. The seniors who stayed and started for four years are to be commended. The minute after Purdue loses their elite eight game: Painter sucks, the seniors all suck, they’re all terrible for basketball.

To win a national title you have to have pros on the team. Purdue has to either start recruiting pros, or just be content making second weekends most of the time.

Congratulations to Arizona. Just a dominant performance in the 2nd half and overwhelmed a good Purdue team. This is probably the best team in the field and a heavy favorite to win it all. Thought the officiating crew was strong tonight. Congratulations to DJ on a great career. 👍🏻

If this ends up the way it's trending, these personnel complications for #Purdue were just too much. Also, Arizona is awesome, but to beat a team like this, you need your best lineups.

Brutal missed call at the end of the Purdue-Texas game. There is a clear hook and hold, plus an over the back on Trey Kaufman-Renn’s game-winning tip-in. That basket should not have counted.
