Apple’s February 24 announcement about expanding U.S. manufacturing initially looked like a sign for consolidating operations, specifically, shifting Mac Pro production in Austin over to the Mac mini. Given the Mac Pro’s uncertain future at the time, that seemed like the logical, cost‑efficient move. Instead, Apple is doing the opposite. Rather than repurposing the Austin facility, it’s building an entirely new one and Mac mini production is headed to a fresh site in Houston, not Austin. And the Mac Pro is no more. I wonder what Flex is building in that facility now.

@xlr8harder "Apple's integrated GPU" M3 Ultra , I don't consider as a single die chip , and should be compared to a rtx 5090 , max pro chip are impressive not the ultra it does in fact suck only the high vram make it good

It's noteworthy to me that NVIDIA is now publicly comparing itself with Apple's integrated GPUs. Especially since the real benefit of Apple's systems is that they can have much more ram available.
