@bullydoll @nandoprince93 Same here from the 17 Pro to the Air. Bigger screen and yet 25% lighter
Only thing I miss sometimes is the 4x. That's entirely it
English

@nandoprince93 I switched from the iPhone 17 Pro Max to the iPhone Air and I definitely don’t regret it. The form factor is amazing and the compromises I have are acceptable. I have to say I switched because of the low price I get one. Normally, the iPhone Air costs 1199 €, I got it for 849 €
English

The iPhone Air is one of those phones you don’t fully appreciate… until you pick it up after using anything else.
Yes, there are compromises. But the feeling of this thing? Different level.
We’re talking:
🪶 Insanely thin and lightweight, everything else feels bulky after
🤏 Effortless one-handed use that just clicks
✨ Clean, minimal design that feels like the future
⚡ Still plenty fast for 99% of what people actually do
Sure:
📸 Camera isn’t trying to be a Pro Max replacement
🔋 Battery isn’t built for power users pushing it all day
But that’s not the point.
The iPhone Air strips things back to what actually matters… and nails the experience.
Pick one up after using a heavier phone and you’ll get it instantly.

English

The compromises aren't even that big...
1. the battery life is more than good enough. People should stop looking at the physical size and just make assumptions
2. the single speaker is hardly or not at all noticeable in portrait mode. Which people use 99% of the time anyway
3. most people never touch anything but the main camera
English

@al3xis5_ @whozae @privatetalky Always weird to call these phones. They were just digitcams running Android. But Samsung also put an ear piece for phone calls on a 8.4" tablet so...
English

@whozae @privatetalky Never, unless we go back to these weird technically-a-camera-but-also-a-phone with like 3cm thick camera bumps
English

@privatetalky So when are smartphone cameras gonna be able to do everything in 1 Camera Module.
English

@privatetalky Main + UW is the dumbest and most useless setup...
The main is already super wide with 24-26mm (phones in the 2010s usually came around with 30-35mm and that was "wide enough")
So putting an even wider lens next to it is just... well, dumb.
English

FINALLY a new wallpaper that's not just a shit word.
Even looks kinda nice

Here is the new Pride 2026 wallpaper coming in iOS/iPadOS 26.5 later this month

Same stuff with left-handed
Up until only a few decades ago, left handed people were FORCED to learn and exclusively use right-handed writing in Germany. And "magically" there were 0% left-handed people.
But once we started inclusions instead of forcing to fit in, it *somehow* there were way more left-handed people

autism isn’t “over diagnosed” a lot of people are just realizing how fucking common it is to have autism 😭

@BookSpotlight It's way worse than NFTs and shit.
With NFTs it was just funny seeing all the idiots getting obviously scammed.
But GenAI is literally killing the internet AND our fucking planet. Many aspects of the internet already became completely unusable because of this garbage
English

Can someone please tell me how Gamestop has 56 billion dollars?

English

@Cartidise Because they're probably still in the "unseen" missed call list? Or voice messages
English

@LuftkoppTim those missed calls don’t go away even after i call them back lol
English

I highly doubt that tbh
Or at least it won't be nearly as big of a jump.
The iPhone X was so huge because Apple didn't update the front bezel design AT ALL for years. But from the X to the 17 Pro Apple did and made the bezels smaller and smaller over time
So instead from 67% screen-to-body ratio to 83% like with the X it's gonna be like going from 89 to like 93% at most
English

@OutofGalaxyy The Apple Watch had smaller bezels than the iPhones in 2021
I just doubt it will look like literally nothing but screen as in the image. Will they be super thin? Sure. But not entirely gone
English

Yeah for sure, but the Apple Watch also doesn’t have as much space as the body of the phone to get rid of the bezels. And that watch is lowkey from 2021, so I’m sure that after 6 years they’ll come up with a new tech to hide the bezels.
I’m sure that Apple will know how to do it, cause they wait the longest, and USUALLY (Apple Intelligence is the outlier) do it the best.
English

@OutofGalaxyy Yeah it most likely will be like the Apple Watch. But looking from the front it doesn't look like there are no bezels, only from the side
And I don't think it would look nearly as fascinating sind the bezels are thinner and the glass can't be as thick as it is on the Apple Watch
English

I mean… they might do some crazy shit with the glass so that it will be unscratchable or smt, because Ceramic Shield 2 is already so extremely resistant to scratches.
And, the iPhone X also has a slightly curved glass on the edges, but because the bezels are too thick, you can’t see that on the screen.
Now the screen would just extend all the way to the frame with no bezels.
It would still be flat, like on Apple Watch Series 7, but because of the concave glass, would appear curved.

English

@parthiv_chakma MacBooks already have an anti-reflective coating lol
Ceramic Shield 3 also doesn't make the slightest sense. They only introduced the second version after 5 years
The brightness level also don't really line up with at least what Apple has done so far
