i think people often forget that up till a few days ago susie was bullying kris, like physically and verbally, and threatening to kill and bury them. i don’t think asriel disliking the girl who suddenly became best friends with the person she used to bully is all too shocking
My theory is that these people are so obsessed with trying to claim a work and person that is so opposite to their "values" bc its one of the few recent US cultural products to be Very popular in Japan (which they fetishize) and they cant stand that its not "one of their guys"

As much as itd be so funny if papyrus was some loser chud in DeltaRune I have to say ive been swayed to the theory of him being a Deputy in training as of recent simply because its funny and allows him to have similar parallels and such to his role in Undertale
