📸EARLY WEEKEND PHOTOGRAPHY TIMELINE CLEANSE📸 It's been a rough week. So how about some Zion National Park love? This is entitled "The Watchman, #3, By Moonlight." The Watchman is the big rock in the background. This view of The Watchman along the Virgin River of Zion National Park is about as cliched a landscape shot as one can imagine. One need only park in the nearby lot and walk 50 feet to obtain an image of one of the most beautiful spots on planet Earth--a view captured literally by hundreds of of thousands (perhaps millions) of others. However, it's so beautiful a place that it is hard to resist, even if a cliche is sure to result. I was driving not too far away on business, and decided I needed to give some effort to capturing this amazing view. I found a hotel nearby, close enough to find a Watchman sunrise. I could only afford a sunrise photo, as I needed to be somewhere else far away at sunset (the preferred angle). The shot I got at sunrise was a meh, blank, cloudless sky, resulting in a meh photo. I was disappointed. However, I had set up my spot early enough that I was there well before sunrise. Cold and tired, I was trying to keep my hands warm. The moon, near full, was setting in the east and casting a light almost as bright as daylight on my scene. In a near asleep stupor, it occurred to me that maybe the moonlight and the stars might give an uncommon view of The Watchman. It was only weeks later when I was perusing old, discarded shots in Lightroom that this thought of the moonlit Watchman re-emerged in my brain. Giving this view a second chance, I realized moonlight creates beauty as compelling as any sunset. I love how the moon makes the leaves sparkle in the trees along the river. My point? Always give your photo RAW files a second look a few weeks after the shoot. Nikon D810, Really Right Stuff tripod, Nikkor 24-70mm zoom @ 24mm, ISO 500, f/2.8, 30 seconds.

It’s been confirmed by Buckingham Palace - King Charles III, the Supreme Governor of the Church of England - has declined to post "A Easter Message" to the Church of England this year.  With 100 million Anglicans worldwide in communion with the Anglican Church, I will not be surprised if some of them breakaway from the association with the Church of England. I am dumbfounded. Easter is the holiest day in the Christian calendar. Has this imbecile lost his mind. I am so upset because if you are a politician and you lie who would be surprised?  King Charles III took an oath to be a Defender of Faith (although he changed the oath to make it “Faiths” plural).  He wished Muslims a Happy Ramadan a couple of months ago but remains silent when Christians around the world joyfully celebrate the Resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. I feel like overturning some tables in Buckingham Palace and chasing people into the streets. I have no words!!! If anyone doubted King Charles III was a traitor to the Faith - what other evidence do you need than not to recognize THE FOUNDING tenet of the Christian faith - the Resurrection of Jesus Christ. Why are you wasting your time going to church on Sunday Charlie, if you don’t believe in Resurrection? To our Anglican brothers and sisters out there, No person on this earth can separate you from the love of God in Christ Jesus (Romans 8: 38-39).  He is Risen! Glory to God. Happy Easter! Peace and be prepared.
