I have a serious problem with ChatGPT and verbose responses. Can it not be brief by default, especially when I am asking questions that don't require a thesis as a response? Brevity should be baked into the response architecture.

Stages of X articles. Stage 1 : The early adopters - The early hours of the article, it doesn’t claim to be groundbreaking or anything, it’s just perceived as someone sharing what they think to the public. A few people read and while alot of them don’t finish reading, they like and share it. Stage 2 : The bookmark stage - Early adopter are done and have moved the mantle to the bookmakers, these people don’t read it, but will create the biggest FOMO around it. You’ll see 10’000 bookmarks and feel like it has to be amazing for these much people to bookmark, so you bookmark also. You’ll try to read it and the first 3 minutes are relatable, but something else also tells you that you already know everything you’re reading. You blame your attention span and just bookmark and like. Stage 3 : The validators - You start seeing people you know and don’t know telling you that if you can read this, it’ll change your life, and you start feeling like you need to actually read this. Here’s the tricky part, you also feel like everything you’re reading is confirmed by common sense, it’s not a groundbreaking realisation; it’s okay and nice. But something feels off, like why’s everyone saying this is better than plantain. But then, you keep seeing major influencers say this is amazing and you’re like, it’s cool but it’s not like a tutorial on how to do further maths faster or how to learn French in 10 days. Stage 4 : The new view - Someone decides to call the bullshit and say this article that had 50M views is nothing but slop. I mean, you don’t really agree that it’s useless, but you also understand that it’s not groundbreaking. It’s like announcing another fintech app in Nigeria, like it’s great but it’s not exactly rocket science. So why all the fuss? Are you missing something? This new view starts to gain ground but here’s the funny thing, the people who say it’s the best writeup of the year and the people who say it’s slop rarely converge. Somehow, the X algorithm don’t make these two group clash. So it’s like an alternate universe, and you’re Barry running back and forth. You’re the only one seeing both sides ( or so you think ) Stage 5 : The deep divers - Now people leave the articles focus on the writer, they either start talking about the credibility of the writer or the last biased views and takes of the writers. I mean it’s not entirely bad, it’s just that it draws attention away from if the article is good or bad and more towards if the writer is good or not. Bad people can write good articles and good people can share slops. So how do you know what to dedicate your precious 34 minutes to read? Simple: If you’re not convinced in the first 5 minutes that you’re about to learn something new that’s well defined with actionable steps or results. Just go and read Legend of the northern blade instead.
