@ikwofirstsrr @3n7rpy I think she's famous for a stunning figure skating performance that won a gold medal in the olympics
English

@3n7rpy why’s this chick a celeb she seems cool don’t get me wrong but she’s famous for one comment about chainsaw man and political discourse that she never even involved herself in. Again she seems genuinely cool but this lands like a cooler hawk tuah girl to me

@JovanGThinks All the while we were fighting adobe to let us keep our tools 🙄

Wild that YouTube animators in the 2010s had a medium that let them do whatever they could imagine and a whole decade to not worry about AI art and a lot of them spent it just making their characters bop up and down to gimmicky electronic music.

Of course a snake can cross his 'arms'. That's the beauty of animation, it isn’t constrained by anatomy or physics, it’s constrained only by imagination.

People don't understand that "bad" is a subjective term so we just keep going in circles about taste
Robin Poe 🐑@RobinPoedev
People really dont understand what "objective" or "subjective" mean. Even if we are talking about a game that actually 100% of people dislike its still not "objectively bad". Its only objectively disliked by everyone

Many will say that people only don’t like this because it’s a physical person acting like a cartoon character, but I do think it runs deeper than all of that. America and really just western audiences as a whole have not been able to climb over the hurdle of cynicism and embrace jovial camp or sincere whimsy. It makes us uncomfortable.
The closest we’ve had to this in a rating that isn’t strictly for toddlers and was widely beloved was Superman and Knight of The Seven Kingdoms, and both of those stories were surrounded with cynicism to avoid the sincere optimistic qualities from becoming too overwhelming to audiences- or to resemble our world that is tonally jaded with few good people. Something that’s more palatable to modern viewers.
One Piece refuses to exist within those barriers, which to me makes it one of a kind.

I turned off the episode, this is unbearable

@bearsnake_21 Yyyup. They go about it so formulaic tho, every 3 shot the same composition, every lighting setup as identical as possible. It's like training the audience and the machine at the same time.
English

@FecklessDev Most of if not all the content is proper live action right now and just awful. 90% of audience are middle aged women who like romance /odd submissive style stories.
The format and delivery system is what’s interesting to me but unsure it can jump genre.

Is anyone following the vertical drama boom coming out of Asia? Hollywood is throwing hundreds of millions of dollars at it right now.
Projections have revenue growing going from 8bn -> 15bn in the next 24 months.
With discovery and monetization on YT, TT, Insta getting harder and harder I think ultra short-form episodic format could power the next video boom.
Think about how Twitter refactored text.
Vertical series will do for short-form video.
