Its quite possible it was done traditionally, but it was definitely not done in pencil. More than likely, oil or acrylic. But it looks like there's some antialiasing here and the lines are amazingly straight. It can definitely be done by hand but I'm 50/50 on if it was done traditionally or digitally.
