London now has tens of thousands of bright green parakeets, spreading to new areas every year. They were never native to Britain. So how did they end up here? Most likely, they escaped or were released from captivity decades ago. Since then, they’ve adapted remarkably well to London’s parks and suburbs, helped by mild winters and abundant food. To some, they add colour and character to the city, to others, they are seen as an invasive species. Have they reached your area yet?

@liamfell2010 The penny dropped for me when we got relegated back to league 1 in 2011. I still go on a few home games but tbh I'm usually bored after half an hour and I genuinely cannot believe how bad the atmosphere is.

I actually feel like throwing the towel in with North End after this season 34 years after my first game. Stuck by them all this time but this seasons drop off has topped it for me. I have a feeling I won’t be alone either. New owners needed and have been for years #pnefc

@Pneawaydays A Town End full of sombreros, beach balls and inflatables, launched on to the pitch. With some bog roll and ticker tape for added effect. Players go on holiday every year from March onwards. Time we let them know it.
