@simonparkin Would you consider having @garyseconomics on @myperfectcnsle?
I just watched him say "I'm the kind of person who if you put a computer game in front of me I'll wake up two months later." I'm definitely curious what games he's talking about.

@ultrakawaHD I saw one of the Asmongold Acolytes complain "Why can't they focus on being creative instead of WOKE?" When will the penny drop for these people that it's the same thing. Open-mindedness is an artist's superpower.
English

@Sarahjdublin It's unfortunate that the Soc Dems lost their status of being the only party with a majority of women TDs. Their number of women remained at 4 while men in the party went from 2 to 7. It was great to see their seats go up, but that did feel like a compromise.

@janeematthews @thejournal_ie 3/3 vote left transfer left is a simple message, but it does nothing to counter the skepticism a PBP might have for SF or SD. We're completely missing the perspective of them as allies in the opposition. There was no time to respectfully pussy foot around this messaging.
English

@janeematthews @thejournal_ie 2/3 Meanwhile FFG were confident that they would have default transfers in almost every constituency from each other. I'm nervous that this could have a devastating impact in the coming days when the left's failure to transfer becomes clear.
English

@Trickstersworld 3/3 Were they manipulated into that position by FFG's phony war?
English

@Trickstersworld I'm getting the feeling that being vague about the left alliance was a major misstep. My hope after the last government was formed was that the shroud had been lifted of FFG's rivalry and their bases would be angered.
English

@Trickstersworld 2/3 Based on transfers they're actually being treated as a strong alliance and there really should have been a stronger force of opposition all the way down the ballot. Why could no one from the left name a single party that they'd like to be in government with in leaders debate?
English

@KevinPMeagher @RMcGreevy1301 Sorry, but they have no easy path to government. Ultimately they have half the votes of FFG and no left alliance parties in double digits. They have to form a majority government with 88 seats and that's practically impossible with these stats.
English

@RMcGreevy1301 Winning the popular vote is a bad result? Perhaps at the Unionist Times.

Exit poll in Irish election has Sinn Fein topping the poll. Massive.
Jason Reid@JasonReidx
🇮🇪 Exit poll for Irish general election. 🚨 Sinn Féin tops the poll.
English

@Trickstersworld All of the Social Democrats tweets have been polluted with these responses. Gaelers are hate following SD so they can inundate them with the same gender joke. It's pathetic.
English

@williamhboney1 @Farrell_Mairead Definitely! She got my number 1 last time, but I thought there'd be more value in giving 1 to Soc Dems now. FF and FG have split their vote so I thought she'll be near the top in the first count like last time.
English

Mairead Farrell is also worthy of a Number 1.

In 2020 over 5,500 people @ConorReddy95 the #2 vote after Sinn Fein.
If all of those had given Conor the #1, and Sinn Fein the #2, Dessie Ellis would still have topped the poll and been elected on the first count; but Conor would have also been elected and we would have kept FF out of Dublin North West.
Tomorrow, we can end 100 years of FF & FG. For all those who gave Conor or other PBP candidates the #2 or the #3 last time consider giving us your #1 vote this time, and transfer left, to maximise the chance of kicking FF and FG out.

Amazing! @EibhVote's housing solution through University of Galway land and buildings is refreshingly realistic and @Farrell_Mairead's push on commuter rail and night bus will have a great impact. Thanks for getting those points on air.

@RTEUpfront Katie Hannon: "More people coming back than there are leaving"
Where is that true? The CSO says 30,000 came back from 2023 to 24, while 69,000 left.
English

"The irony lies in the fact that nurses who were qualified here... are actually at the far end of the globe... because we have a housing crisis."
Matt Carthy of Sinn Féin, says a new system of rules for immigration is needed.

@KitMurray @philipoconnor Those savings were raised by creating crises in housing and health. They are now hoarding our money instead of competing with private interests and providing public services. They've already committed to hoarding 40 billion. That's not moving forward anytime soon.
English

@philipoconnor Did we have exchequer surpluses running to the billions 14 years ago?? Bankruptcy was closer to the truth, and the pandemic set back recovery... but, they got there ... now we can afford to examine reasonable ways of moving forward..
