The political and media establishment do not care about women or the normalisation of violent crime in Ireland. They only care that it might change your political choices. Reject them and support #Irishfreedom

@realLangerDan A thousand workers might not question a subtle distinction between not used in war and not directed for use in war.. and maybe would welcome it as a means of being able to pay their mortgages in a few months time..

Dan the “Shadow Tanker Bonker”
🚨The Independent report commissioned by Aughinish Alumina from a Swiss audit company, also states the auditors “verify” that no alumina is “directed” for military use. Note: this is not to say it does not end up in military use. Merely that it’s “directed” not to be which is an entirely different thing. Of course this is still contrary to the May “warranty” from Rusal that suggested Irish alumina is for export only, which further complicates their latest claims in that there’s an entirely different emphasis on the end use.

@NiallFarrell218 @TwixBandit69 The car attack was certainly deplorable, and the whole brawl was disappointing in a peaceful place like Skerries. This constant sun is drawing people to the seaside towns in greater numbers. We all have to learn to share in harmony..

@JohnOBrennan2 @hynessl 4bn less 23% VAT, introduced over 4 years... the money is recycled in the economy, keeping people in jobs and returning nearly a quarter in VAT..

Ireland has very significant infrastructure deficits. To propose whopping reductions in tax right now is enormously irresponsible. It is also very dangerous given how precarious the global economy is.

@JohnOBrennan2 @AnMailleach Give examples? Should people in Longford forego a tax cut so that Dublin can at last enjoy a metro of their very own? Is the Dublin drainage system, or the Galway bypass, down to lack of funds?

@AnMailleach Yes, we have. But the accrued infrastructure idiots are so large in some areas that even 10%+ annually isn’t enough.

@Mappermick HSE uses over half that every day all year around, not just during exceptional dry spells Loads of industry used loads of water. They cannot be all switched off so we can keep the lawn green

The govt only care about the EU presidency lark, and that it passes off without any Irish troublemakers raining on their parade. They've even thrown businesses around Dublin Castle under a bus.
TheJournal.ie@thejournal_ie

Businesses and locals on Castle Street in Dublin city centre have said that barricades and garda patrols established for the EU presidency mean their street is effectively a "controlled security zone" for the rest of the year. jrnl.ie/7096586

Ireland 🇮🇪 Isn’t it truly remarkable that gardai and mainstream media point blank refuse to give a full report of Africans causing mayhem in Skerries last night. No arrest, no suspects. If they were white Irish lads, they’d arrested, banged up in jail for the night, special sitting of court this morning and their faces and names plastered everywhere. The hypocrisy is sickening but the Irish are rising, they’re aware of this farce. Follow us and share

@JohnOBrennan2 @Conor1960 @roy_kinsella The capital budgets will increase annually.. most of the infrastructure deficiencies are multi-year projects. The value of disposable income must also be protected. Single digit pay increases with high marginal tax rates see people fighting a losing battle with inflation.

In 2021, Meta reported to An Coimisiún Pleanála that just one of their data centres in Clonee, Ireland, used an average of just over 2.5 million litres of water per day or 928,000,000 litres in total in 2021. It’s now 2026, and there are at least 107 data centres in Ireland, and growing. Yet yesterday, Irish Water (Uisce Éireann) claimed that total water usage by all 107 data centres is now less than double what a single data centre was using in 2021.

@Padraiccleary @eric_nelligan There is very little room for cutting NGO funding... possibly in the single millions through rationalisation, certainly not in the hundreds of millions.

@eric_nelligan You know at least €5B of the €6B, must be spend. Through NGOs or the HSE, and NGOs reduce the long term burden of high public sector staffing in disability, and elder care services So there's €1B to take some cuts, probably frees up €750M

@MarxistKweer A rare and unusual confluence of circumstances. Need to issue temporary injunctions in these cassava to stop the clock on time limits for removal notices during a Court case querying the validity of the removal order itself.

@Conor1960 @PaulieRossi @PaulTreyvaud Yes, indeed. If agreement to draw water from the Shannon is reached, a number of infrastructural points will be needed to feed it into existing or new treatment plants.

A long time ago in a country called Ireland, there lived a peaceful people who enjoyed life, sport, music and song. A land of story tellers, songwriters, poets, artists, singers and musicians. But the evil government decided peace and culture was boring. Let’s liven things up!

@DavQuinn 95% of immigrants come to work. Most employers require people to have a workable grasp of language and many support language improvement & general training courses. The Government plus AMIF have active integration support programmes. Communities all over actively engaged.

Another excellent common sense piece from Eoin. ‘A badly functioning immigration system puts huge pressure on the welfare state, and so reduces support for it. Citizens should have some influence on immigration rules. Democracy is supposed to matter, isn't it?’
Eoin O'Malley@AnMailleach

Citizens have a strong preference for immigrants who integrate, work and speak the language. It is a mystery why politicians don’t want to deliver that. independent.ie/comment/eoin-o…
