Note for max testing this summer Most non-advanced lifters (i.e. 90% of the athletes you work with) will fail a max attempt due to technical breakdown and not actually a lack of strength, especially in the squat For many, one-rep maxing is not the best way to measure strength

Don’t let a big win/big loss get in your head. When it’s over, it doesn’t matter anymore. Life goes on. The work still continues & there’ll always be another game. Get back in the gym. Continue to get better & stay dedicated to the process. The process is never about the result!




Motivation comes & goes. Some days you want to work until you can’t. Other days, you don’t feel it. That’s when discipline comes in. Learn to be so disciplined that your motivation level won’t factor into your work. Keep doing the hard things, especially when you don’t want to.
