I won’t be modest here. This is one of the most important crypto projects in the UAE 🇦🇪 Today, a Dirham-backed stablecoin, DDSC, goes live. Initiated by IHC and First Abu Dhabi Bank, and hosted exclusively on @ADIChain_ , designed by the @ADI_Foundation. This is the milestone our team has been working toward for a long time. But it’s not just a big moment for ADI. It’s a breakthrough day for the entire UAE. For the first time, the UAE Dirham, a national currency, is coming on-chain, marking the beginning of a regulated decentralized finance era in the region. There is no stronger signal of blockchain adoption than a sovereign, government-grade digital currency becoming an official medium of exchange and store of value, operated by key institutions. This is a tangible shift in the reality we live in. Crypto has come a long way - from grey-zone assets to sovereign digital money serving nations and the real economy. I’m proud to be part of this project. And I truly believe this moment changes the history of finance across MENA, and beyond. Congratulations to the entire ADI team and the leading institutions behind this milestone. Today, the UAE took a decisive step toward on-chain finance.

48% of institutions choose stablecoins for speed, not cost. So where does that speed come from? Traditional cross-border payments take 2-5 days on average. Not because the tech is outdated. Because a single transfer passes through three or more independent institutions before it arrives. Each one takes its own cut and settles on its own schedule. If one of them is closed for the day, the payment waits. That's the design of the traditional system, not a bug in it. Stablecoins remove most of those intermediaries. Instead of routing through a chain of banks, transactions go through an onchain settlement layer that connects directly to on-ramp and off-ramp endpoints. Fewer institutions in the path, fewer dependencies between them. This is the kind of settlement ADI Chain is built to power. A digital infrastructure where regulated assets move across borders without the friction of correspondent banking.

It’s 2026 & storytelling is the hottest thing you can have. Yes - even in crypto. Sorry, the era of short, punchy tweets is over. Now, if you want to build a strong brand in Web3, you need to stretch a bit. And storytelling is the hottest marketing shift now in our space. Not even a trend → a new direction. It all comes from promoting “real value” and slowly driving away from short-term, opportunistic projects pumping for one cycle. Now you target a much more mature client - and they need to get to know you in and out. You need to build trust, present the values you stand for, and control your messaging. All of a sudden, you need to have a deep story about the critical problem you spotted and the revolutionary solution you plan to fix it with. And just to clarify - this rule doesn’t apply only to brands, it applies to founders and teams too. Chart screenshots and market analysis won’t do alone anymore. People prefer to learn from stories, not from “10 tips to…” They want to know your early beginnings. The ups and downs. The difficulties you met and how you overcame them. This is how you show your real self, how you become noticed, and how you build trust. I know, I’m asking you to be authentic - ridiculous in the Web3 space, right? :d Well, you won’t be able to ignore it and in order to grow, you’ll need to adapt. Thinking that AI can take our job comes from a misconception of our qualities & skills. If you define your skills by "performing tasks" like a robot - writing, designing, editing - then yes, AI will take it. But the most valued skill in each organization is what you mean to other people (especially to your supervisors). are you a problem solver for them? Do you make their lives easier? Can you get something DONE from A to Z without bothering them? Can they trust you with taking something over? Can they send you for a meeting with full confidence? Those are your major skills, and no AI tool will replace it because even if it's capable of performing tasks, your leader would ask YOU to prompt that AI and take it off his head ;)

what i reminded myself of this week 👇 don’t refill the cup regularly without taking sips from it with all this AI-madness going on lately, i found myself again in an endless cycle of doomscrolling the latest news, newly baked models, articles about “how to replace a marketing department with these 3 AI agents” and similar crap. obviously, in this environment, productivity drops significantly. you start asking useless questions that lead to more doubts about the future of your career and the industry as a whole. but what always saved me in situations like this, when i have a hyperfocus on consumption (aka filling the cup), is not forgetting to take a few sips. somewhere in a journal, write down one of the insights that reinforces your vision instead of hinting that you’ll be replaced. somewhere out there, apply the knowledge in my current side project. finally, turn down that faucet from which this endless stream of info flows and ask yourself: “what is one action, no matter how minimal it seems, that can help me ease the inner anxiety and bring me closer to my vision?” notice something, nick? ACTION, not another article or a thread on x. because unfortunately, you can’t read your way to your ambitions.

The most dangerous thing about Dubai? It makes your old goals look small. Recently I was asked about one belief about success I had to unlearn. I answered: That success has limits. Dubai proves it doesn’t. And that’s the rule that flips your entire life here. Because suddenly, you have everything right in front of you. When you make the call to move to Dubai, you usually come with a plan. A modest one, gradual, realistic. A list of steps you want to accomplish over the next 1, 3, 5 years. Let me stop you right there 😁 That list will shift completely. 3 years from now, you’ll laugh at that list. Because you created it from the perspective of a limited mind. And then you arrived in a place that doesn’t think in limits… You can complain that Dubai puts pressure on you, that it’s fast, intense, demanding. But you can’t deny one thing - you can become very successful here. You don’t need a legacy business here or a family fund. You can become self-made here with your drive, hard work, and ambition. And yes, it doesn’t have limits. You see amazing, extraordinary visionaries turning bold ideas into reality almost daily. So here’s the catch: once you sink into this city, your vision will change, mature, and grow. And then you’ll need to put even more work in to make it real. Are you ready to take that effort? 👀

With our DevRel, @Xidea404, joining the discussion at @EthereumDenver, the message on the ground was clear: → Stablecoins are most impactful in regions where the current financial infra is unreliable or underdeveloped → They give institutions and even governments access to global liquidity and markets → Retail increasingly uses them for yield above traditional banking Stablecoins seeing adoption are those preferred for conservative use cases, supported by liquid reserves, transparent disclosures, and efficient redemption mechanisms. The market doesn't chase trends. It rewards infra that performs when it matters most.
