WHOSE CULTURE WAR? @POLITICOEurope has named us as one of the dark forces bringing the culture war to Brussels. On the same day as MEPs voted for the “full recognition of trans women as women,” Politico’s inversion of reality paints those who have spoken out against gender ideology as the ones “pushing the culture war.” The reporting quotes a litany of familiar extreme pro-trans ideologues like ILGA Europe, who complain that “anti-trans actors are getting access to spaces in Brussels.” They are very sad that their iron grip is slipping! Thankfully, the fearless @ThePosieParker gets the opportunity to demolish the lies of the trans lobby: “Transgender rights are ‘very much not a grassroots movement, but a top-down, well-funded movement.’” And Kelly-Jay pushed back on the idea that a backlash against transgender rights is being deliberately pushed by conservative activists who see it as an opportunity to splinter the left. “I think it’s the other way around. I think it’s the arrogance of the left and the contempt that the left has for women that has enabled women to leave the left.” — Well said! 👊 We are proud that our November event in the European Parliament with @laszloan pointed out that the EU was “addicted to gender ideology,” despite “an enormous backlash” across the EU. As we said: “For European elites, trans ideology is a key ‘EU value’ which no one is allowed to question.” Asking for a debate on the dangerous policies of self-identification, trans women competing in female sports, and radical medical procedures for minors is not “starting a culture war”, but simply defending the interests of women, children and all ordinary people who see the insanity of gender ideology.
