The Lex-Orban amendment of the Hungarian constitution would ban the main opponent of the current government from running. The plan of PM Péter Magyar is to retroactively ban any former PM who has been in office for two cycles from becoming PM again. In practice that applies to only one person, Viktor Orbán. This ban would be elevated to constitutional level. This is what the Tisza party calls restoration of rule of law, democracy and return to European values... 🤬

This is pathetic. After 4 years of war, the EU may finally conduct direct talks with Russia about Ukraine. Not only are we 4 years late. The article claims that this could finally happen because the US expressed support for this. In the last few years we've heard statements so many times about the EU being a geopolitical player, the need for unity in foreign policy to be able to speak with a strong voice... all fake. I always said, even when EU countries complained about not being invited to peace talks between the US and Russia, that they shouldn't complain and instead European countries need to conduct their own diplomatic talks and stand up for their own interests. They complained but never initiated talks themselves. In reality, they wouldn't negotiate with Russia because they were waiting for the blessing from Washington DC. And still today, no active head of government has the balls to do it, they are considering sending Angela Merkel or Mario Draghi. The leaders of the biggest EU member states are so weak, so unpopular that none of them is up to the task. In 2014, the French president and the German Chancellor conducted the talks without US presence or blessing from Washington and they negotiated a deal that held for 8 years. Where are the leaders Europeans can look up to today? We are a long way from restoring peace in Europe, especially one that will serve the interests of Europeans.

Today marks exactly ONE MONTH until the EU Migration Pact comes into force & this is a moment worth noting. After years of chaos and failure, Europe is doubling down on a failed migration policy. This pact will attempt to reintroduce a system of redistribution of migrants on unwilling countries, endless legal loopholes, and sharing the burden of illegal migration instead of stopping it. If a country refuses to take in illegals, it will be fined 20,000 euros per migrant. In the meantime, merely a fraction of those who are in the EU illegally are being removed. We still won’t have the tools to get the people who come here illegally OUT! European citizens still become victims of criminals who aren't even supposed to be here. Quotas and relocation mechanisms have been proven disasters before. And this time they’re baked into an even worse system that prioritizes migrant rights over border control and returns. This is not the way forward for Europe. It’s not what the people want. We don’t need more deals and systems to move these illegals around. Fixing the migration policy is not difficult and can be done in 3 steps: - Defend the borders and stop illegal entry. - Close legal loopholes, defund pro-immigration NGOs. - Remove those who are already here illegally and remove non-EU citizens who commit a crime. Use trade sanctions against countries that refuse to cooperate on returns.

ING Belgium has just paid a €1.6 million settlement for turning a blind eye to over €1 million in suspicious cash deposits and lottery transactions by former EU Justice Commissioner Didier Reynders. Reynders is the commissioner who lectured member states for 5 years about rule of law. He did hundreds of unreported cash deposits while he held the highest offices in Belgium and the EU. The very man who spent years lecturing sovereign nations on the “Rule of Law” now stands accused of money laundering. The Commission is still pushing for more rule of law enforcement, but they only apply to national governments, not to EU institutions. The Commission uses transparency and rule of law requirements only to further limit national governments and centralize power in Brussels. This must stop!

24 hours, 5 knife-attacks. Not the kinda news you want to hear about a wonderful city like Barcelona. Under the new EU migration pact, illegal immigrants will be redistributed all around Europe. The socialist government in Spain is naturalizing 500 thousand illegals. A teenager girl has lost her life, others are wounded. And yet again, the migrant-maniac European left looks away, instead of admitting that it is because of their policies that even in broad daylight Europeans cannot feel safe on their own streets in anymore.

Enough of the European Commission's interference in national election campaigns! After Poland, Italy, Romania and several others, now Hungary. The people implementing the EU's online censorship regime must be held accountable! They are abusing the DSA!

❗️The Fidesz-KDNP Delegation in the European Parliament demands the immediate closure of the ongoing Article 7(1) procedure against Hungary, which should be submitted to the plenary without delay.   The Article 7 procedure has been used solely to exert political pressure on the national sovereigntist government of Hungary. It has been nothing more than an instrument of blackmail. The European Parliament and the European Commission have abused their powers by keeping Hungary under constant political pressure through this procedure in order to silence patriotic voices and interfere in the Hungarian elections. They no longer have any pretext to continue punishing the Hungarian people for political reasons.   ❗️The €1 million daily migration fine is also unacceptable. Hungary protects the EU’s external borders. For this, Hungary deserves recognition, not sanctions. This fine must be suspended immediately.   ❗️Finally, frozen EU funds must not be used for political bargaining. These resources belong to the Hungarian people and must be released without delay.   ⛔️We call on the Commission and Parliament to end nearly eight years of politically motivated pressure. 🇭🇺 We will continue to stand for Hungary and the Hungarian people.

Mass immigration is ideology. Generous social benefits left-wing governments give them is about creating dependency. Mass legalization ahead of elections is necessary to turn them into left-wing votes. And they'll always tell you, at each step, that this is morally the right thing to do.

There has never been any real rule-of-law issue; the Article 7 procedure was purely a political punitive action. Brussels abused its power in order to keep Hungary under continuous political pressure through this procedure, to silence national positions, and to intervene in Hungarian elections on the side of pro-Brussels forces. This entire story, which has been going on for many years, is unacceptable as it stands. And this farce must be brought to an immediate end. By now, even Brussels has no pretext whatsoever to continue punishing the Hungarian people for political reasons. Hungary has always been and will stay our number one priority. EU interference in the domestic politics and elections of EU member states is a massive scandal that elites in Brussels are trying to sweep under the rug. President von der Leyen has publicly admitted that the European Commission was incredibly strict with Prime Minister Orbán. The 17 billion euros of EU funds that were frozen she said “were huge for a country of such size” and that “the impact was clearly visible in the deterioration of Hungary’s competitiveness.” Not only that, Hungary was also fined 200 million euros, plus 1 million euros per day because we do not allow illegal immigrants into Hungary. The European Commission also activated its rapid response system to monitor the online activities during the election campaign and interfere. We know from the documents released through freedom of information requests in the US, which the European Commission doesn't do, that the Commission has in fact interfered and pressured tech companies to suppress conservative political speech in all national and EU elections since 2023. This is a major violation of the EU Treaties. President von der Leyen, as well as all Commissioners and staff involved, must be investigated and held accountable!

When PM Orbán criticises failed EU policies and Brussels’ power grab, they call it “anti-EU rhetoric.” Yet today Germany’s CDU - the EPP’s biggest force - is now confronting Ursula von der Leyen in Berlin with very similar things. CDU drafted a strategy paper containing 27 demands to dismantle the Brussels “machine”. The key points include an oversight body with veto power over new draft EU laws, stricter limits on EU competences, and staff cuts. To put it simply: less power in Brussels. Everyone knows the Brussels machine has gotten FAR too big! An earlier draft even proposed making EU budget contributions conditional on deregulation. Von der Leyen froze EU funds to Hungary because we criticized, vetoed or simply refused to implement terrible EU policies from migration, to energy sanctions and foreign policy. Imagine if Member States could cut funds to the Commission if it fails to represent the interests of Member States. We would have a better EU.

The new 2025 crime statistics for Germany just dropped, and they should alarm every European. 📈Murders and manslaughters are up 6.5%. 📈Rapes and serious sexual offences have risen 8.5%. Non-Germans make up over 40% of all suspects and 42.9% of violent crime suspects… despite being a far smaller part of the population. Syrians and Afghans are nearly 10 times more likely to appear as suspects than native Germans. This isn’t some coincidence. It’s the predictable consequence of years of open borders and failed integration. European citizens, especially women and girls. are paying the price. We must finally secure Europe’s external borders, punish and deport foreign criminals, and put the safety of the European people first.

After our two-thirds victory in 2010, almost all heads of independent institutions were allowed to fulfill their mandate, despite conflicts and being appointed by the socialist-liberal majority. The exception was the head of the Radio and TV Council which was completely transformed. Péter Magyar wants unlimited power.

Ursula von der Leyen says the “time pressure is enormously high” for reforms in Hungary. She sent her officials to Budapest in record time to push the new government towards "reforms" Why the rush? Because Zelensky is running out of money and she needs Hungary to agree to the joint 90 billion euro loan to Ukraine. To get it, she wants a deal with the new Hungarian government about Hungary's frozen EU funds as soon as possible. Under Viktor Orbán, Hungary stood firm against gender ideology, Soros-funded NGOs, uncontrolled migration and dared to criticize the failed EU sanctions against Russia. That’s why Brussels froze our money since 2022. Now the new government is being told to change the judiciary, change the media laws, change the migration policy, allow gender ideology into schools, etc. in short: change the values of the nation… or lose the money that belongs to the Hungarian taxpayers anyway. This is not negotiations in good faith. This is more political blackmail.

President Zelensky's energy blackmail and interference in the Hungarian election campaign should now be obvious to all. Zelensky blocked the tranzit of Russian crude oil to Hungary and Slovakia at the end of January and claimed that there is severe damage after a Russian attack. The EU refused to acknowledge the seriousness of the impact on two of its members and instead played along with Zelensky's energy blackmail. The Commission did nothing for weeks. A fake EU inspection team was later sent to Ukraine to mimic that the EU is doing something. Zelensky did not allow them to inspect the pipeline nor have we heard about them ever after. The Hungarian opposition also ignored the issue despite the severe impact on our energy and fuel security. Today, only a week after the Hungarian elections Zelensky told EU leaders that the pipeline is now fixed but he will only allow the continuation of the oil transit if the 90 billion euro EU loan to Ukraine is approved and negotiating clusters will be opened, thus moving towards EU membership. The argument from Kiev and Brussels since Russia's invasion was that buying Russian energy is financing Russia's aggression against Ukraine. Now, it's okay and Zelensky has in fact fixed the pipeline and is setting conditions for something he has legal obligations to do anyway. This was pure blackmail and interference in the Hungarian election campaign. The European Commission was also fully on board with it. 👇👇👇

Hungary has been accused of authoritarianism for more than a decade. It was never true. You cannot export democracy. Especially not to countries which are already a democracy. That's just foreign political meddling. And we've experienced plenty of that.
