@FunkFun53239659 @yesiwetmyplants @taco_talks @Stevieb8081 They (likely) validated what Paul claimed scripture said about the messiah. Because that had been revealed in scripture. Then Paul (likely) revealed that the messiah was Jesus. This new revelation came from Paul. This was a new authority outside of scripture.

I think it’s worth noting that one of the earliest recordings of someone attempting to “venerate” Mary was met with a rebuke by Jesus.

@Beomfloat88 @beCatholicc @taco_talks It’s not like they had nothing. They had all of the scripture even then, it just wasn’t put into the canon as it exists today until then. But the scriptures existed and we’re already written. When the last apostle died off then the reliance was on the word of God.

@FunkFun53239659 @beCatholicc @taco_talks And when was the Bible compiled? Hundreds of years after John. For 400 hundred years most people didnt have the entire Bible. How could they know if a book was adding to scripture or taking away?

@FunkFun53239659 @JarrodCelestial @taco_talks That’s my point. The Bible came from the Church, not the Church from the Bible. So you can’t appeal to Scripture while ignoring the Church it was written in, preserved by, and given to.

If what you believe happened if your claim is true the One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church “fell off the rails” - then there are only 2 possiblities: Either Jesus lied and abandoned his church and the Holy Spirit failed to guide the church in all truths Or The reformers lied and your claim of the One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church falling off the rail is a lie.

@Matthew56193629 @TomBuck He was never trying to figure out a Plan B. His plan was to do the will of the father, and he never wavered from that.

@JarrodCelestial @taco_talks Yeah its funny how even the bible said the church existed before it. Why follow the bible and not the churches the bible was created for?

@beCatholicc @taco_talks The canon of scripture was not complete then so the early churches were instructed to follow what they were being taught at the time. After the last of scripture was written, they were to follow that. And not add to it or take away from it.

@23wjohnston @sola_chad OK, screenshot my response and posted here where I said that I believe Jesus abandoned his church. You say, I lied, but I never said that which makes YOU a liar.

@FunkFun53239659 @sola_chad It absolutely does. You believe Jesus abandoned his church, so he lied and Holy Spirit failed to guide the church in all truth. You’re just believing your own lies.

@dragodimitrov First of all, we don’t care if you take us seriously or not. What we’re asking is that you take the Bible seriously and adhere to it. For your sake, not ours.

If Protestants want Catholics to take them seriously, they need to acknowledge: - Catholics love and worship Jesus as Lord and Savior - Catholics revere Scripture as the inerrant word of God - Catholics believe salvation is impossible apart from the grace of God - Catholics do not think they can earn heaven apart from Christ - Catholics do not see the Pope, Mary, or priests as a replacement for Jesus Deal?

Matthew 16:19 “upon this Rock I will build my Church and the gates of Hell will not prevail against It” If what you believe happened - Jesus lied. Matthew 28:20 Jesus promised the be with his church till the end of the ages….. If what you believe happened Jesus lied. John 14:16,26 Jesus promised to send the Holy Spirit to guide and abide (to continue in a place : SOJOURN ) with his Church….. If what you believe happened- Jesus lied and the Holy Spirit Failed. John 16:13 Jesus promised to send the Holy Spirit to guide His church in all truths….. If what you believe happened Jesus lied and the Holy Spirit failed. There are the only 2 possibilities. Either Jesus lied & the Holy Spirit failed OR The Protestant reformers lied and they teach a false gospel that the scripture warns against. Galatians 1:8 But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let them be under God’s curse!

@proMHFMcatholic @AnalogRules61 The Ark was never bowed to by Christians. Mary was not a perpetual virgin. Mary is dead and should not be prayed to. Mary should not be deified. No biblical justification to dispute any of that. Tradition does not trump the Bible.

Traditional Catholicism Is True Christianity
If you actually viewed the videos, you'd see a mountain of scriptural proof for Catholic teaching, but here's some: Jesus said you have to hear His church for salvation (Matthew 18:17). 'Once Saved Always Saved' & 'Faith Alone' are completely unbiblical (1 Corinthians 6:9-10, James 2:24, Matthew 7:21 & Matthew 19:17, etc). The bible documents the first church council (Acts 15). Christ founded a church that has bishops (1 Timothy 3:2), a priesthood (1 Peter 2:5) & ordination of priests (Titus 1:5) whom Jesus gave the power to forgive sins (Matthew 9:6-8). Confession to a priest is in the bible (Matthew 5:17-18, Luke 5:13-14, John 20:21-23, Matthew 9:6-8, 2 Corinthians 5:18). The Bible states that the teachings of Christianity are not only what is written in the Bible, but also are passed down through spoken word (2 Thessalonians 2:14-15). At the wedding at Cana, Mary interceded with Jesus, resulting in a miracle, proving that her intercession is miraculous (John 2:1-11). The bible teaches that saints can receive prayers (Rev. 8:3). If you are against asking saints for prayers, then you reject the bible's teaching on asking others for prayers (James 5:16). Yes, Protestantism is false. You won't save your soul in it. The earliest recorded prayer to Mary is the Sub Tuum Praesidium("Beneath Thy Protection"), a Greek hymn dated to approximately A.D. 250. Found on a papyrus fragment in Egypt, it addresses Mary as Theotokos ("Mother of God" or "God-bearer"), highlighting an early theological devotion.
